About the property

Modern House with Extensive Gardens and the Quiet Feel of a Temple

I'm offering a 4m x 3m bedroom, a double bed (if needed), drawers and desk. The room is in a modern, low-set house and looks onto a quiet, green paradise of tropical plants. The person will have their own bathroom and toilet, and have complete access to the kitchen and laundry, as well as the family room. There is a lock-up garage if needed. The house is not on a street, so there is no traffic noise. Internet is included. I'm only interested in sharing with one person, preferable a person who leaves for work at 7.00am or later - a situation where there isn't any early morning noise. I would also prefer to share with a non-smoker. The house is 3 minutes from Bus Stops. There are frequent buses into the city, about every 4 or 5 minutes during Peak Hour. Buses to the University of Queensland and Griffith University are frequent. There are a huge variety of Asian restaurants only 5 doors from me, and Coles and Woolies supermarkets and other shops across the road from the restaurants at Market Square.

About the flatmates

I'm retired and a Santa Claus type of Granddad. I'm quiet and spend time in my garden. It would be nice to share with someone who is happy to have a coffee and chat occasionally. My idea is to share with only one quiet person.

I cook an international range of foods, and I'm house-proud. I'm interested in languages and I really love my time on the Internet, keeping in touch with my many friends overseas. I follow foreign movies and documentaries, and I'm greatly interested in history. If my housemate is an International Student who is in Brisbane to learn English, I am happy to help them with their English. (I'm a retired Journalist.)
