About the property

My 1980's rambling house is situated in the center of a large garden with fruit trees and many native plants. I share the responsibility of caring for our 5 chooks with my friendly next-door-neighbour, one week she collects the eggs, the next week I do :-)

In this hot weather a lot of water is needed to keep all the plants going!

Inside, my house is reasonably cool despite the heat because it has been insulated, and many of the windows are double-glazed. I love a clean & tidy house, but it is comfortably untidy because people come first, I feel. We share the house chores equally to keep the place nice.

About the flatmates

I am a friendly, energetic, fitness-loving, garden-loving, animal-loving reliable, responsible, older person, who is happy to share her space and place with a similarly-minded person. (You don't have to love the fitness bit, though, ha ha)

My youngest son, who work and studies, lives with me, also his wife who works interstate, is here from time to time.

So, there are usually only two of us in this quite large home.

I have 2 cats, 5 fish in the pond, 5 chickens, and a large garden. I mainly look after the garden on my own, but would love someone to share garden chores and knowledge with. If that is you, great!

My neighbours are lovely.

My house is located in a cul-de-sac near the main road. The bus stop is just outside, with direct routes to Belconnen, University of Canberra & the ANU. The local shops are just 5 minutes walk down the road.
