Available 7 March.
Couples considered. Rent for a couple would be $330 per week plus 2/3 of bills.
I have a reasonably large second bedroom available for rent in an 8-year old apartment in Wright. It has two windows, built-in wardrobe, your own bathroom, and a secure underground parking space for $260 per week, paid fortnightly, plus split bills.
The apartment has pretty good air conditioning and heating. You don’t share a wall with the master bedroom. There is a small courtyard with a table and chairs, an umbrella, and a small BBQ. We have a ridiculously large TV. It is about a 10-minute drive from ANU, Woden, and Calvary Hospital and a less than 15-minute drive to the Canberra Hospital, City, or UC. It’s a few minutes from the Parkway so you can get anywhere in Canberra pretty quickly.
I get a cleaner in once per month for a couple of hours.
It is a pretty quiet location with a kids park out the front, very little noise from traffic, and proximity to walking and bike tracks and Mt Stromlo Observatory. The local shopping Centre, Cooleman Court, is pretty good with a Woolworth’s and an Aldi, cafes and a bunch of restaurants... and is about a five-minute drive away. There is also a Woolworths Metro, BWS, KFC, chemist, Indian grocer, Turkish, and Aldi a one-minute drive away (about a 7-minute walk).
I have everything we need for the communal areas, so all you need to bring are things for your bedroom. I recently bought a new fridge and dryer.
Sorry, no smokers.
You would be living with me, Adam, a 42 year old part-time academic. I am pretty laid-back and a good communicator. I work from home (in my bedroom) about half the time (half the time I am out at paid employment), but have activities I engage in some evenings.
You pay 50% of the bills (internet, gas, electricity). EER 6.
When you get in touch, tell me a bit about yourself.
