About the property
We have a lovely room available in our beautiful West Hobart home! The house is in a great spot close to Hill St Grocer and in a flat part of the suburb that makes biking around the city a breeze.
About the room: it’s a loft space tucked up a set of stairs.
The space has a window with block-out blinds and a cozy, private feel. The main quirk is that it doesn’t have a door, but because it’s tucked away and out of sight, it's never been found to be an issue. If you prefer more privacy, there’s the option to hang thick curtains or set up a makeshift door, something that’s been done before.
The room can come furnished for a small fee or unfurnished depending on what you’d prefer!
About the house:
The kitchen has big, bright windows and a comfy brekky bar. The bathroom includes a full-sized bath and having a shower with the window open gives you a gorgeous view over the Derwent River.
The lounge and dining area are spacious and filled with natural light, with beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house.
There’s a great back deck and a large grassy backyard with a grapefruit tree. Laundry is downstairs with a washing machine, huge sink, and extra storage.
Beneath the house is a small flat where a lovely, easy-going young guy lives, we hardly ever cross paths, but he’s friendly and respectful.
About us:
We’re looking for someone 25+ to share the space with us someone friendly, considerate, and with similar values and interests.

About the flatmates
We're a home of 3 women, but one of us is making a move so a gorj room is up for grabs!
The flatmates are Hannah and Caillin both in their mid - late 20s.
Caillin works as a marine scientist in Taroona. She’s a hike, bike, and trail-running enthusiast, a Virgo, and a generous (if sometimes experimental) chef in the kitchen. She’s great to live with often planning amazing hikes that push you out of your comfort zone, but just as likely to coax you into a short walk down to our local café, Providence, for a sweet treat. Originally from WA, she’s been living in Tasmania for the past five years and loves exploring everything it has to offer.
Hannah works at the hospital. She enjoys a chat after work and hanging out or cooking with housemates and friends, but also loves her quiet time curling up on the couch with a book and a good cup of tea. She’s into running and netball and is keen to explore more of Tassie on her weekends off. A fantastic cook, her slices and cakes are always a hit. She’s also a big fan of musicals, and a night in with treats and Wicked on the TV is sure to win her over.
Both of these ladies are easy to live with and value a home that’s clean, tidy, and welcoming. They like to keep the space looking nice and enjoy sharing stories from their day and spending time together when it suits everyone 😊
