About the property
Large Share House on land for wildlife. Looking for someone between late twenties and late forties.
Rent is for the master bedroom with ensuite and includes bills, every day cleaning supplies, occasional professional cleaning, lawn mowing etc.
Property is designated land for wildlife so indoor or caged pets only. Regular visitors/residents here include wallabies, pobble bonk frogs, ring tail possums, and the occasional wombat and echidna. Loads of birdlife too. I currently have 2 d'uccle hens.
I've included before and after photos here to show what it looks like after housemate finished moving out. Looks empty but lots of opportunity for getting creative and decorating! Landlord will be replacing curtains and has agreed to add a split system heating/cooling in the lounge.
Communal areas will be refurnished and happy to consider your aesthetic if you get in fast enough 👍

About the flatmates
We’re looking for a new housemate/subtenant to share the large rental property with us (myself and a 29yo woman(a professional healer using acupuncture, therapeutic massage, Yin Yoga, sound based practices)).
I am a middle-aged artist and art teacher with a focus on running my private art school and continuing my own art practice. I spend most of my time working and am a bit of an introvert. My private rooms are upstairs at the other end of the house. Also, happy to be sociable when I have the time and energy. I'm considerate, like a mostly quiet home, and quickly clean up after myself. When I'm not working/drawing I'm either enjoying a chai at a local café, walking or engaged in some other form of exercise, or watching something on a streaming platform. I don't eat red meat. Am a non-smoker and night-owl. I like podcasts, audiobooks, music, animals and nature.
Keen to find someone looking for longer term residency. Someone with emotional maturity, and happy to do things in line with the residential tenancy act. Someone ambitious or with a full life would be nice. Somone who also likes peaceful, tidy communal spaces, and cleans up after themselves. Master bedroom is downstairs, Lonne’s is downstairs, and mine is upstairs. Not a home for those who drink often or entertain guests often. If you must smoke, outside only.
