Room:
A large bedroom (3.6x3.0m) with wooden flooring, a south facing window, and large built-in robes.

Culture:
We're looking for housemates who want more than just a place to stay - particularly someone who wishes to spend time and enjoy the company of those they live with. With past housemates, we would often garden, play card and board games, and watch TV or movies on the projector together. We like to share meals together, and you're more than welcome to bring your friends over for dinner! Above all, we seek a friendly housemate to join a respectful and tidy home.

Indoors:
We have a big open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space with lots of storage (two fridges, two pantries) and indoor plants. All rooms have ducted heating, and the social space is air-conditioned. The social space has a projector and speakers for TV/movie nights. The house is furnished with all common kitchen and laundry appliances, including a dishwasher, oven, washing machine, and dryer. We have one bathroom (shower over bath) and a separate second toilet. We like to keep the home looking its best - generally clean, tidy, and homely - and are looking for housemates who feel similarly.

Outdoors:
Outside is a great space for gardening and entertaining. We like to live sustainably, and so the garden has 6 growing spaces for seasonal herbs and veggies, a couple of beehives, egg-laying chickens, and a composting system. A keen gardener would feel right at home, or you're welcome to simply share in the home-grown produce! The garden also contains various fruit-producing trees (orange, lemon, avocados, and more) which provide lots of produce throughout the year. As for entertaining, we also have a large shed with ping pong and pool tables, an outdoor BBQ, fire pit, and fairy lights surrounding the garden, making it perfect for having guests around. There is parking for up to 3 cars in the front yard, plus permits for the street.

Location:
We are in Clayton, across the road from the Monash Hospital, near Monash University and Clayton Station. The train station is a 7-minute walk, and a bus stop going across train lines is 2 minutes away. The shops are a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from home. The university takes 5 minutes to drive to, 12 minutes to bike, or 30 minutes to walk.

Inspections:
Please note that we will be waiting for the 2-week 'early bird' period to lapse before arranging any inspections. We believe everyone should have an equal opportunity to message us without the pressure of paying for it (especially considering the low rent cost here). First inspections will be done online via video, and if all goes well, a follow-up in-person inspection will be booked for shortlisted applicants.
