Looking for long-term queer/queer friendly housemates of a similar age (25+) for a friendly, communicative and independent house. We’re usually pretty quiet and happy doing our own things but also enjoy hanging out together crafting, watching a movie or chatting in the kitchen. Not a place for big parties, but having friends over is more than welcome.

The House: A two-story brick house with an open floor plan kitchen, living and dining room on the ground floor and four bedrooms upstairs. The house is bright and has a deck outside that is perfect in the summer and shaded by an enormous gum tree. House has two shared bathrooms (two showers and a bathtub!). The garage has a massive freezer, (do you want to get into meal prepping?) and space to store stuff if you need. There is central heating throughout the house! There is also a shared study/work-from-home space downstairs where you can put a desk. We also have a driveway spot for a car and free all-day parking on our street.

Accessibility: There are three steps to get in the door, a flight of stairs to the upstairs part of the house and steps on the deck outside. The stairs inside have railings but all steps outside are without.

There is a cat living here, so not a great place for people with cat allergies.

The Rooms:
Master: 3.7m x 3.5m. An generous ensuite with large North facing windows that let in plenty of light, a huge built-in wardrobe and air conditioning. The attached bathroom has a toilet, sink, and the roomiest shower in the house.

Room 2: 2.8m x 2.6m. Cosy whimsically painted bedroom with built-in wardrobe and window overlooking the street. This room can fit a double bed, dresser and shelves and there is extra storage space throughout the house. It could also be used as a private study or office if you’d like to rent both rooms at once.

The Location: Only a 5-minute walk to Clayton station (access to the new metro tunnel! Faster trips into the city!) as well as supermarkets, restaurants and shops. Monash uni is a 15-minute bus ride away and we have easy access to the Djerring bike trail. Also within walking distance of the local community centre which hosts the library, gym, and swimming pool.
