Looking for friendly, reliable housemate.
Hi there! Thanks for checking out our listing — we’re excited to meet someone who’ll feel at home here.
If your profile isn’t fully filled out, please include a few details when you message us:
- Your age
- Job and working hours
- Hobbies or interests
- When you're hoping to move
- Share house experience (if any)
This helps us get a sense of who you are before we meet in person 😊
We’re ideally looking for someone aged between 25 and 55, with a steady income. Applicants must be currently employed or studying full-time.
About our home: 🏠
We live in a spacious 1950s Californian Bungalow — open-plan, weatherboard, and full of character. If you’re into cottage charm, polished floorboards and leafy outlooks, you’ll feel right at home. (If you prefer sleek and ultra-modern, this might not be your vibe — and that’s okay!)
The house features:
- A large kitchen with fan-forced oven, gas stove, dishwasher
- Polished timber floors throughout
- A quarter-acre block with a meandering garden and shady trees — perfect for relaxing or pottering outdoors
- A fully equipped home strength & conditioning gym in the shed, plus outdoor pull-up bars and parallettes for those inclined. 🏋️♀️
About the room:
4m x 3m (with built in robe). Furniture available for those who need (double bed, desk, chair or if you prefer empty that is also OK.).
Qualities we’re looking for in a housemate: 🌞
You’re someone who’s looking for a true home — not just a place to sleep. You value connection, kindness and the feeling of living with people who feel more like friends or chosen family. You’re open to sharing the occasional meal, movie night or spontaneous chat, while also respecting each other’s need for quiet and personal space.
You love animals and see them as part of the household. Baxter — our big, gentle dog — is a friendly presence who potters around when people are home, sleeps on the verandah and lives outside during the day. He’s social with other animals too, including smaller ones.
We try to live in environmentally conscious ways — things like composting, recycling, switching off lights and being mindful of resources. Our electricity is nearly 100% solar-powered thanks to 19 roof panels (yay!).
Board $230 p/w (includes water/gas/electricity/internet (NBN)/toilet paper/basic cleaning products)
+
Bond $500
Bond and first fortnight's rent due upon move-in day (ie. $500 + $460)
----------------------
A few important things to note before reaching out:
- This home is best suited to someone with a balanced lifestyle — if you drink or use substances occasionally in social settings, that’s fine, but everyday drinking, regular drug use, smoking or vaping aren’t a fit for our space.
- We’ve found that regular night shift hours don’t work well with the household rhythm, so we’re looking for someone with daytime or early evening routines.
- You’ll need to be currently employed or studying full-time — we’re not able to accommodate those who are unemployed or retired at this time.
- We’ll ask for two forms of ID (e.g. a driver’s license or passport, plus something like a birth certificate or visa)
