Diggers Rest, Melbourne

This is a newly built 4-bedroom house, located in front of landscaped parkland and just a 5-minute drive to Diggers Rest Station. From there, you can reach the city in about 40 minutes. Driving to the city also takes around 40 minutes. Coles and Woolworths are less than 10 minutes away.

There are two rooms available for rent, and the bathroom and toilet will be shared between the two housemates. Please ensure bathroom/toilet cleaning duties are shared weekly. I will take care of cleaning the common areas.

There’s no expectation for housemates to maintain the front lawn or backyard, and I’ll also handle taking out the bins.

The attached pictures currently show only the bed, but I’ll be purchasing a new table, chair, and bedside lamp once the contracts are signed.

You’re welcome to use the oven, air fryer, and microwave. Each housemate will have designated space in the fridge, freezer, and kitchen cupboards.

There is one off-street parking spot in the garage available. The room rent including covered parking will be $220/week ($190 without bills). Otherwise, there’s ample on-street parking, and the rent for that arrangement is $205/week ($175/week without bills).

The house is equipped with evaporative cooling and ducted gas heating. On hot summer days (above 27°C indoors), the evaporative cooling will be left on throughout the day. The gas heater is not in use at the moment, as it heats the entire house. Instead, I’ll be providing individual oil heaters for each room to avoid disagreements over the ideal temperature—haha!
