Spacious, Stylish Home with Art Studio, Large Garden & Double-Sized Deck — 2 Rooms Available

I currently have two fully furnished bedrooms available. If you’d prefer to share the house with just me, I’m open to that for a slightly higher rent.

I’m looking for one or two housemates to share my large, beautifully maintained four-bedroom home. The house has loads of character and charm, with multiple living areas, a cosy enclosed deck, a peaceful garden, and even a fully set-up art studio.

It’s fully furnished with comfortable, stylish pieces and is filled with artwork — a creative, welcoming space that truly feels like home.

ABOUT THE HOUSE

The home has evaporative cooling and gas heating throughout, so it stays comfortable year-round. The bedrooms are fully furnished, so you can simply bring your clothes and move straight in.

It’s a very spacious house with a huge deck and garden, plus multiple living zones, perfect if you enjoy both privacy and social time. The main living area is open-plan, so there’s also plenty of opportunity to relax together.

The house is on a small, quiet street with mostly older residents. We’re five minutes from Werribee Plaza, 10 minutes to the train station, 20 minutes to the beach, one minute to the supermarket and local shops, and only about 30 minutes down the freeway to the city.

PARKING

There is plenty of off-street parking available.

RENT

Rent is paid one month in advance, with a month-to-month arrangement. If you decide to leave, I’ll just need one month’s notice. I don’t require a bond, provided your references check out. I will need two personal references, proof of income, and a rental reference.

I’m open to short-term arrangements (minimum three months), and if things go well, we can always extend. I’m flexible and happy to work around your needs.

WORK FROM HOME

Working from home is fine, ideally just a couple of days a week.

MEALS & FOOD

We don’t need to eat together every night, but I do enjoy sharing a few meals during the week. I usually do one main shop for staples, and then we each buy anything extra we prefer. I like to keep it simple - no “tit for tat” food keeping. Let’s just be adults and make it easy.

If you’d like me to handle the grocery shopping and cook dinner each night, I’m happy to do that for an additional $100 per week plus your share of the groceries. (And yes... I’m an excellent cook!) BTW I'm a meat and seafood lover!

BILLS

Bills are included in the rent.

HOUSEHOLD & GARDEN CHORES

I like to keep the home and garden tidy, so we’ll set up a simple roster to share responsibilities. If you’re particularly handy or enjoy gardening, I’m happy to shape things so you’re doing more of what you enjoy and less of what you don’t.

ABOUT ME

I’m a professional artist and work from home in my studio. Sometimes I paint on the deck and occasionally run small art workshops here. I love a good conversation and often form great friendships with my housemates, but I also value quiet time and personal space and the house is definitely big enough for both.

As a heads-up, I’m not really into big political or religious debates at home. I prefer a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere. I'm a self aware woman with a low maintenance vibe. If this sounds like you, we'll get along fine.

ALCOHOL & SMOKING

I don’t drink alcohol and prefer that it’s not a major focus in the home. The occasional dinner with friends where people are having a drink is totally fine. However, if you like to drink regularly at home, this probably won’t be the best fit. The house also needs to remain smoke-free, as smoke tends to linger.

PETS

Pets may be considered, depending on the type of pet and how they fit into the home.

KIDS

No children, please. My kids are grown, and I’m now enjoying a child-free home.
