Hughesdale, Melbourne

On offer is a 3.9x3.3m unfurnished room (contains BIR) in a funky little garden of Eden tucked away on North Rd. Enough for A Queen comfortably and maybe a dresser but don't let me tell you how to live your life.

There's bus stops just a short walk (2min) out the front, the 630 and the 903, but the nearest station Oakleigh is about a 20 minute walk away (1.5km)...there's plenty of off-street parking though. North Rd can be a bit busy but don't stress about getting in and out.

The house is fully furnished with everything you'll need for the most part, just need to furnish your room. One bathroom, two bathtubs, two toilets, two showers. Plenty of storage in the kitchen and a massive chest freezer if you're into meal prep or... Ice sculpting?

There's a shared bathroom between us but there's a toilet, shower and bath out the back in a separate studio with a spare room.

The temperature stays pretty comfortable, there's air conditioning/heater in the lounge and there's ducted heating that I've never used.

I have a washing machine, no dryer.

No internet, but open to discussion on it.

I don't have a TV...However I do have a decent projector that you can stream from a laptop. Movie nights are awesome.

Heaps of room for activities, nice big backyard that's mostly astroturf but there's a bit of maintenance... Nice enough garage and back shed so plenty of storage. There's a very cool little greenhouse/conservatory which is great for keeping plants alive in the winter. Oh, and there's a wood fired sauna that seats about 5 so it would be handy if you're into sauna! I've also got a massive chest freezer for the ice bath conversion.

Chicken coop and veggie garden if you're feeling adventurous.. It'll be a bit of a project as I haven't had the time.

Plenty of storage space throughout the house and it's in pretty good nick for the most part... The garden can get a bit out of hand, there's a dodgy burner on the stove and one of the cupboards has a dodgy strut. But I think it's pretty great.

North Rd gets busy, but it's not really noisy.. Feels like a little Oasis.

Speaking of, Oasis is just up the road and is probably our nearest coffee shop, or Temperance Society is a nice walk through the backstreets. Kebab shop on the corner is ok and there's 3 pizza shops and a Dan Murphy's just a hundred metres up the road if that's your thing.

All supermarkets are a five minute drive, if that.

Rent comes out to 1499 a month and bills are split down the middle.
