**It says my response rate is 0% as i've renewed an old listing, i'm currently active on flatmates and looking immediately**
We’re looking for a new flatmate to join our friendly, relaxed home. We have lived here for 2 years now, and our lease is currently signed until the 25th of July. We expect this to get renewed but there is the possibility of a rental increase at that time, so just be aware.
Your room:
The room is available from the 21st of January. It can come completely furnished with the current setup, or it can come empty if you wish. The current setup makes really good use of the space, but it's entirely up to you.
Common areas:
Kitchen - the house comes equipped with a modern kitchen and all the kitchen essentials needed, as I also cook a lot. We have an air fryer, a ninja creami, a NutriBullet blender, nice pots & pans, and nice knife sets. Also, a nearly brand-new dishwasher.
Lounge - There is a 4k TV in the lounge room with a Google TV Chromecast. The couch is also really comfy, and the legs fold out. There's also a built in aircon/heating unit in this room
Home Gym - There is a fully equipped home gym setup, with Olympic weights, Olympic bar, squat rack, adjustable bench, adjustable dumbbells, ezcurl bars + more. Heaps of stuff you can basically do any type of workout with what's there.
Garage - The garage parking space is yours. There's also a bit of storage room in the garage and laundry so if you need to store stuff we can easily make some space.
Laundry - Brand new washing machine, we try not to use the dryer much to cut on costs but there's also a dryer.
Bathroom - There is a bathroom upstairs that is shared by the 3 of us, and a WC downstairs that's also shared. We have a rotating weekly cleaning roster to keep it clean, unfortunately this part of the house wasn't updated when other parts had renovations so it's a bit old, but it's not too bad.
A bit about the current household:
Aiden (27): A computer science student at UTS. I split my time between studying, working and spending as much time with Finn, (my 6-year-old border collie) as I can. If I’m not working or studying, I’m probably outside, so the house is generally peaceful during study hours.
Tyson (31): A small business owner and sound technician who brings a creative, hands-on vibe to the home. Tyson keeps busy with work and music projects but enjoys kicking back when there’s time, adding a friendly and laid-back dynamic to the household.
Finn: The resident border collie, who’s very much part of the family. Finn’s very friendly, very very chill and loves meeting new people, so this place would be ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys dogs. I have heard him bark once since I've had him, so you will hardly even notice him generally. He's a very sweet dog.
We keep the space clean and organized with a rotating weekly cleaning schedule, and the overall vibe here is relaxed and considerate. While Tyson and I each keep a busy schedule, we value a friendly and respectful atmosphere at home.
Rent: $315 per week + bills
We’re open to anyone we get a good vibe from—no specific preferences. If you think you’d be a good match, reach out, and we can arrange a viewing! I'll be regularly checking my messages on flatmates but you can call or text if you want me to get back to you ASAP.
