About the place: Located 200 metres from the beach and local restaurants/pubs such as the Cott Hotel and OBH. We are an apartment in a block of 4 called ‘Overton Blue’. The place has 2 bedrooms with 1 shared bathroom, a good-sized kitchen and living room, with front and back patios. Recently painted and re-carpeted, so the place looks good. There is a shared laundry and clothesline, so no need to BYO washing machine or dryer. Very low maintenance effort/cost, as there is no garden. 2-minute drive (or 20-minute walk) to the nearest train station, so very easy to get into the city for work. We haven't had a need for internet (our phone plans are good enough), but it is easy enough to set one up for yourself or join forces with the neighbours if you want one! Given the great location and good condition of the property, the rent is very reasonable at $380/wk (split between the housemates). Of this, you will be paying $200/wk for the larger of the two rooms. We managed to negotiate the price down from our last lease, so it really doesn’t get much better than that in Cottesloe. This place is perfect for someone who enjoys the beach, good food, a casual drink, near a train line, and doesn’t want to spend time maintaining a garden. Also, perfect timing for summer! Parking: No issues parking. There is a car port available for each apartment at the back of the property, as well as on-street permit parking for residents and visitors.
