I'm a 40-year-old former graphic designer; I've just returned to Australia after living with family in New Zealand for the past year. I previously lived in Brisbane for 7 years, so Perth represents a new start for me in a part of the country I'm not familiar with.
I was a graphic designer for 12 years, working in corporate and government work environments. Unfortunately, that career came to an end in 2024, and I opted to change directions and enrol in a Social Work Degree. I completed my first-year successfully last year, though changes in student entitlements made me decide to return to Australia and complete my currently open citizenship application. I have spent over 10 years living in Australia, and I love it. It feels a lot more like my original home – South Africa, than NZ does. I am starting a full-time customer service job with Bankwest soon and plan to eventually re-enrol in a Social Work degree at a later date.
I am, a pretty organised and tidy person, who enjoys a quiet and calm home. Though I am also very social and love a good chat.
My interests outside of work include surfing, running, photography, travel and hockey. I like to keep active and also enjoy the odd gig.
