I grew up in Newcastle, NSW but have lived in Melbourne for the past 3 years while studying biomed at uni. I’m moving over to Perth around mid January to start studying medicine at UWA at the end of Jan and will be living there for quite a while.
I’m a fairly outgoing person and very keen to meet a whole heap of new people in Perth, but at the same time do love some time to myself and absolutely respect others downtime too. I’m also very chill and don’t get bothered by much ever. I like to be active and get outdoors when i can. I go to the gym as well as love getting away from the city for hiking and camping. I’d also be interested in getting into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my time there which is something one of my current roommates in Melb has got me onto. When I’ve got time i also do enjoy some video games, board games and movies with mates. I’m not a smoker but i do love a beer or three chilling out at home, the pub or at the beach with mates. I’m also really keen to explore and see what Perth has to offer.
In terms of work, i currently work in a hectic bar in Melbourne, when i’m not swamped with uni. I also get a steady income source from centrelink that gets me by while i’m still at uni.
I’ve lived with a wide range of people in share houses during my time in Melbourne, from international students and exchange students to full time workers and melbourne locals, so i’m very open to living with whoever, as long as you’ll think we’d get along. I’m a very tidy and respectful person to live with and am easy to get along with. I’ve been one of the mainstays at the current place I live in so have been involved with a lot of house admin, including finding new housemates so i know how it all goes down.
I imagine I am going to be spending a fair chunk of time studying so I’d love to live with people who understand and are respectful of that. I’m ideally looking for something longer term, at least 6-12 months to get me started and settled in.
