Reed, Chris and Trixie

Hi there!

We’re 3-person + 1 cat friendly, established household made up of a couple (Reed (far right photo) and Trixie (far left photo)) and a long-term friend (Chris (centre photo)) , who’ve happily shared a suburban Taringa home for the past three years. We’re currently looking for a fourth housemate to join us at a new place preferably in the Northside.

Reed and Chris are Landscape architects and work full-time, while Trixie is studying Civil Construction design, so the house has a steady weekday rhythm with relaxed evenings and chill weekends which we often spend together in our shared spaces.

As a household, we share a collective interest in nature, reading, crafts, films, and plants, and you’ll often find us tending the garden, working on little creative projects, or heading out.

Chris is our resident social extrovert and can likely be found at social gatherings, playing DnD, drawing spectacular art, festivals, creating prints or getting pulled towards creative endeavours.

Reed and Trixie are our resident introverted couple but can be drawn out easily with the promise of good music, conversation and possibly a drink or too. They are keen golfers, and can be typically found at the golf course or the range on a weekend.

Reed is an avid gardener and participates in bushcare regularly, while Trixie enjoys cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Loki is our 8 year-old resident tabby cat who can be commonly found napping in high areas, or splayed lolling about on the rug chirrupping for pets and scratches.

We’ve all lived abroad for significant portions of our lives sharing similar values of openness, kindness, and respect for different backgrounds and experiences.

We are a Neurodivergent/neurospicy friendly household, and have prioritised open communication, warm lighting and the necessity of existing in a safe place.

The vibe at home is calm, clean, and low-stress — a cozy reset space from the outside world. We’re hoping to find someone considerate, communicative, reasonably tidy who enjoys a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere and shared living done thoughtfully.

Reed and Trixie will either share a larger bedroom or two smaller ones, so looking at 3 or 4 bed houses. Maximum wanting to pay is $300pw each (so $900 total) but preferably well under this - we're paying 220 each at the moment :)
