Looking for like-minded people to move in with somewhere near Brisbane city. I work as a casual and study full-time at Southbank so easy public transport access is necessary. I am a musician who loves to cook, clean, have fun and enjoy life. Looking for somewhere to stay as little as 3 months (hopefully longer). Would love to get to know the possible people I could move in with! I have all my own furniture for my bedroom and a heap of plates, cutlery and glasses. I don’t own couches or anything like that though. With being a musician I am not around home too much due to being in rehearsals and classes. Looking for somewhere really cheap as I don’t get to earn a lot of money not having a full time or part time job.
Hi! My name is Torbjörn and Im from Sweden. Im going to live and work in Brisbane as a trainee for a Fire-and Risk engineering company. The period is between end of May to end of August. I consider myself as social and friendly. I have lived collectively before and it has always been working well :) Kind regards Torbjörn
Just relocated to Brisbane for work and love it. I am seeking a person that wants to share a 3 bedroom house in Paddington. We would have to agree that it is great to have a spare bedroom for friends and family. I love Paddington and would love to stay here and can do so with a flatmate. I found an amazing house with a/c, gorgeous fit out just need someone to share it with. If you are professional that enjoys a nice home and a low key professional single female please contact me. We would pay about $600 to $650 a week split in half or we can review. Thanks!
Hey there! This is Jenny from Barcelona. I have the working holiday visa and I’m looking for a flat for the next months. I’m tidy, easygoing and peaceful, but I can party if the occasion is required :) I love dogs, so if you have one, I will walk him/her gladly (mine is with my parents and I miss him). I would prefer a double bed if possible. I speak Catalan, Spanish, French (medium, I lived there 4 years ago) and of course English. Do not hesitate to ask any questions!
Hi there, I'm Renee and I am 25 years old. I like to think I'm pretty easy going, I know when to keep to myself and I like to keep pretty quiet and relaxed most of the time. I am very neat and tidy, like very very neat and tidy. I am just looking for a chilled place where I can feel relaxed and comfortable doing my own thing. I'm a full-time worker in digital marketing so would only be home nights and weekends, I go to the coast about once a month for the whole weekend too. I love wine and always keen to have a glass after work or a few on the weekends. Always into meeting new people and I also like to think I'm quite friendly. I have 2 cats, Cat Stevens and Banjo Catterson. They're outside pretty much all the time and they are super chilled and mostly well behaved. I'm always on time with rent and other bills as well. If I sound like someone you wouldn't mind living with or renting too then shoot me a message :)
I'm a Japanese girl from Cairns, just finished my Medical Engineering degree at QUT and currently looking for a place until I move to Japan in November :) I am tidy, easygoing and always pay bills on time. In my spare time I go rock climbing and play video games.
I'm easy-going and considerate of others. I work from home as a journalist for an overseas news publication. I have a 9-year-old greyhound. We've lived alone for 2+ years in an apartment in the valley- so he's very accustomed to a small, indoor space. He truly sleeps almost 24/7.. except for when there's a storm and he's hiding in a corner somewhere. I recently changed jobs and am planning to move overseas next year. I can no longer justify paying $415 p.w. solely on rent - so have decided not to re-sign my lease. I'd love to find an affordable place with great flatmates for 6-12 months. I like meeting people from different cultures and learning languages. I also enjoy film and gastronomy. If you're looking for a kind, clean, quiet, independent flatmate that keeps to themselves and you don't mind a dog indoors - then I'm the flatmate for you.
I'm a first year arts/law student at UQ looking for a place to move into around July. I'm pretty quiet and respectful of personal space, but I'd love to find housemate/s who I can get along well with, and I'm always happy to talk, watch netflix and go out for coffee/ drinks :) definitely after a place that feels like a home. I'm away quite a bit due to work and uni, and I also spend a bit of time visiting my family (and animals :((( ) down near byron so I won't be in your hair too much. I work part time in the city, and i love riding my bike to work and uni and not having to rely upon brisbane public transport so proximity to both is a must. I love to cook, and a vegetarian/ vegan house would be a bonus but I'm happy to live with any friendly respectful people. I love nature and animals, so I'm happy to provide love to any pets you may have + water plants. hope to hear from you soon :)
I (Richard, English), am currently on my first work and travel visa with my girlfriend (Szandra, Hungarian). We love the outdoors and the ocean, travel and adventure and that's the main reason we have come to Australia but we're looking for a place in Brisbane to call home for a while. we've lived with people before and (I hope) have crack the perfect balance of privacy and friendliness. we like to be friends with the people were living with but understand that everyone needs their own space too. clean, (Szandra cannot even look at a speck of dust without cleaning it) organised, quiet and always up for a chat, or to head out for some fun (be that the same sushi place 4 times in a row or an unexplored canyon in the wilderness). We love to cook, and if you do too we love to learn to cook other things. Personally I am a huge Rugby fan (Union over league but i think that might change soon) and love to watch and play. Szandra is a massive foodie and animal lover. Thank you for reading all that about us and, I'll thank you in advance for an opportunity to be flatmates.
I am both a full time worker ( both chef & content marketer) and full time student - you will hardly see me! I spend most of my time at the library or at a rented office in the city. When I am around, i like to watch movies, cook dinner and share a glass of wine with my flatmates if they want to hang out. I'm into hiking and camping and occasionally make a weekend trip away. I'm kind of a quiet person (probably due to the study) and like a quite environment (not a party house) I respect your space and belongings and appreciate the same in return. I'm tidy, non smoker and no pets.
Hi guys, I'm a 30 year old Australian non-smoker, working full-time in the digital team at Flight Centre. When I'm not destroying my liver at work's rooftop bar, I spend most of my weekends out and about exploring what nature has to offer! Love surfing, camping, and generally anything that'll add a glow to my English inherited skin tone. That said, the odd hungover TV series binge isn't out of the question. Down? Most people would describe me as very cruisey, and always up for a laugh. My humour would be best described as a mix between The Betoota Advocate and Happy Gilmore. Should also probably mention that I'm tragic Broncos fan and I cried after the 2015 grand final. Generally looking to move into somewhere relatively modern and social. Cheers, Matt
My name is Joss, I am a 27 year old and I have just sold my first house. I have been living here in Bardon for 5 years... I love being close to the city but still having the neighbourhood feeling. I work full time in solar energy during the week so I'm always out and about and busy during the week and I like to relax and play music or hang out with friends on weekends. On Thursdays I play an acoustic set at the YHA Pub and sometimes I spend some time on the Sunshine Coast. My flat mate Reece is great to live with.. out of all the flat mates I have had over the last 5 years I know how hard it is to find clean professional flat mates so I am happy to give him a good reference and live with him again. Reece works full time and is also studying so he is quite busy but also likes to chill out and be a little social over the weekend.
Hi I am a student from Switzerland and I am conducting my master's thesis in environmental engineering at UQ. I am looking for a shared flat with easy going people who are down to hang out and have a couple beers on the weekend. In my free time I enjoy skateboarding, hiking, camping, city trips, photography, and many other things. I will be staying in Brisbane until early october. If you are interested hit me up with a text
Hey all, I'd like to express my interest in a room for rent. I moved to Brisbane 6 months ago from Cardiff, Wales. I'm originally from Northern Ireland but have emigrated here for a job opportunity. I work for the greatest team in Queensland, obviously that being the Brisbane Broncos... I’m employed as their strength and power coach, so if you think they’re looking weak, that’s on me! About me I'm 33 years old (feel much younger). Like most I probably work too much and should strike a better work/life balance. I'm a very social person, but also very respectful of others need to have their own space and time. I like the odd drink, but prefer a bar/some live music rather than the clubs. Movies, sport, reading etc... are all hobbies that take up most of my down time. Much like anyone else I have interests in travel, adventure and experiencing the finer things life has to offer. All being well, if interested, I'm available to view anytime that suits! Cheers, Ryan
I am Australian but have been living in the USA, Italy and the UK for many years...I have come home to assist my elderly parents as they have both been ill and have extended my stay to be close to them while they recover. I am super easy going... I visit my parents frequently, I enjoy markets and exploring new areas, sometimes eating out but I mostly cook my meals at home. I like to watch movies and zone out....pretty normal stuff... I don't smoke or drink. I like a clean and tidy home. No party houses please. I am respectful, clean and live healthy. My budget is 150 - 160 per week including bills and internet and furnished rooms only please.
Hey! My name is Kristen, I am 18 and currently working in hospitality. I am clean, quiet and easy going with a positive attitude. I enjoy a good chat but also respect privacy.
Full time software engineer at uq. I cycle to work everyday and enjoy being social, active, eating way too much, and board games. Fairly quiet and often away traveling. Will fix computers and clean bathrooms/toilets. Will provide free homebrew kombucha. The only things I'm really looking for are friendly housemates, a large room and good access to bikeways.
My name is Cheyenne, I'm a Registered Nurse working full-time. Easy going but still reliable and tidy. I enjoy going outdoors for adventures and am partial to a few drinks on the weekend. I am looking for a place where I can bring my 5 year old male Golden retriever Leroy. He's a super lcalm de-sexed dog who just loves people and is used to roaming in and out of the house. I leave him happily in the backyard when I'm at work but he likes to hang out inside when I'm home. He's not a barker/doesn't hav any bad behaviours! So I'm in need of some dog loving house mates! I also have two cars so am in need of a place with lots of off street/street parking! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions :) Cheers, Cheyenne
Hi there :) After a few years of living on my own, I'm missing the social aspect of sharing a house and am looking for some like-minded people to find a place with. I prefer sharing a house instead of unit. I'm easy going and respectful of people and their space. I like to have a chat over glass of wine or chill out and watch some trashy TV. I have a gorgeous cat named Alfie (everyone that meets him falls in love!) and my only requirement is for the house to be off any main roads to keep him safe, and obviously allow pets on the lease. I've tried but unfortunately he cannot live with dogs. I have all major appliances and furniture, flexible with the move-in dates (I'm on a periodic lease) and am happy to consider housemates of any gender, age, sexual orientation or nationality.
Hi! I'm Eden, a 20y/o student studying environmental science at UQ. I'm relaxed, easygoing, friendly, good with rent/bills, and like to keep everything reasonably tidy. I love meeting new people and am just looking for a welcoming place filled with lovely people to call home. I'll also mention I'm vegan but I'm 100% happy living with people who have different diet preferences, no worries at all. Feel free to message for a chat if you think I'd be a nice fit, I'd love to come check out your place! Thanks!
