Matt and Liz

We (Matt, 40 & Liz, 33) are a Kiwi couple who are moving to Perth from Wellington in late May/June.

I (Matt) am a certified builder, and had my own building company back in Wellington. I will be working as an Operations Manager for a construction company in Balcatta. In my spare time I like to do jiu jitsu, travel, photography, gardening and hiking.

Liz is a communications manager in the govt sector. She is also crazy about travel, Pilates, yoga, and all things wellness.

Dora is our lovely little domestic shorthair cat. We have had her since she was 3 weeks old and she has been raised to be an impeccably clean, housetrained girl who refuses to claw anything other than her designated scratching post. While she adores people, she is a bit of a diva around other cats & dogs.

We are big on fostering good relationships with landlords/property managers, as this makes everyone’s lives much easier. We are fastidiously clean, house-proud, respectful and quiet. Being a builder, I know what it takes to maintain and care for a property.

As we are not in Perth yet, the plan is to secure a rental and I move over first, with Liz & our cat following a few weeks later after I have started my new job on June 1st. We have a substantial amount of savings, so can easily pay a few month’s rent in advance for peace of mind if preferred. We also have glowing references and are more than willing to Zoom/Facetime for a meet & greet to see if we’ll be a good fit.
