Hello there,
my name is Lukas, I’m 26 years old and from Germany. I’m looking for accommodation from mid-October until June/July 2026.
I’ve already lived in a shared flat in Germany for about four years, with people frequently moving in and out. Because of that, I’ve gained a lot of experience living with different personalities and adapting to new dynamics.
I’d describe myself as an outgoing person who enjoys trying new things – especially when it comes to cooking or sports.
For my time in Australia, I like to think of it as having one main quest and a few side quests:
My main quest is working in a laboratory for my PhD.
My side quests are improving my English (and hopefully losing my German accent), learning how to surf, have quality time (not only study and work) and making new international friendships – so I can carry the experiences and connections from my time in Sydney with me for years to come.

For flat-sharing, it would be important to me if we did things together from time to time and didn't just pass each other by and ‘only’ share the rent. Nevertheless, it is also important to me that if someone needs some peace and quiet, this is respected.
I realise that in a flat share, not everything is sparkling clean.
Nevertheless, it's important to me that a certain minimum level of cleanliness is maintained so that everyone feels comfortable.
