Hello future flatmate :) I’m Janneke — lovely to meet you.

About me:
I am 26, half Dutch, half Kiwi — born in the Netherlands, grew up in Dubai — and my family is happily scattered around the world, with my parents in Saudi Arabia and my brother in Colombia.

I’ve moved to Sydney to start my first job as a doctor working in the Northern Hospital Network. I have been subletting in a wonderful home in Fairlight/Manly, but I am looking for somewhere permanent in Northern Beaches to call home <3

Flatting:
I’ve lived in shared flats for the past eight years and have always loved creating a cosy, welcoming space with the people I live with. I’m clean, considerate, and pretty relaxed. I’m social and love a good hangout, but I’m also respectful of downtime and a chill home environment.

Hobbies:
Outside of work, I have a full and fulfilling life with my love of the sea and of community. Since moving to Manly I have joined the Manly Yacht club for twilight races, Manly salsa for their latin dance, and I've been out spearfishing a couple of times. Before and after work, you'll find me either swimming in the sea or doing yoga at home (I'm a qualified yoga teacher and would love to offer lessons if interested). On my days off, I like to spend time outside hiking or diving. I also have an active social life, though my party days are mostly over, I don't mind the occasional boogie. I’m also a big traveller and tend to spend most of my holidays overseas.

What I’m looking for:
A peaceful flat with people who enjoy each other’s company and like doing things together, but also value rest and personal space. Ideally with flatmates who don’t always work from home, so I can sleep properly after nights.

- Space to do yoga
- Space to store equipment (not a lot)
- Close to the beach / a beach pool
- Transport / close-ish to Manly
