Dear Future Housemate(s),
My name is Jamie. I am from Jiangsu Province, China, and I was born in 2002. I will be arriving in Sydney on February 17, 2026, to begin my postgraduate studies at the University of Sydney.
My rental budget is relatively limited. I am primarily looking for a living room space, a study room, a small secondary bedroom, or a single studio. My preferred budget is within $400 per week, ideally under $300 per week. I would like the lease to start on February 17, 2026. I am open to various apartment configurations, such as 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, or 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom. Key requirements include air conditioning, good sound insulation, and a commute to the university within 30 minutes.
Regarding lifestyle habits, I enjoy spicy food and am open to all types of cuisine. I typically go to bed around midnight and wake up before my classes begin. I know how to cook, as I worked for a period before starting my postgraduate studies and often prepared my own meals. I prefer cooking my own meals on weekdays but am happy to cook together with housemates during holidays.
I am tidy and value cleanliness, quiet, and I am prompt with shared payments. I will not bring members of the opposite sex into the house and do not plan to keep any pets.
My expectations for housemates are as follows:
Please avoid breaking the lease early or violating the rental agreement, as finding a replacement tenant is troublesome, and it may result in financial penalties for the remaining housemates.
Please do not wash underwear or socks in the shared washing machine.
We should take turns cleaning common areas according to an agreed-upon schedule.
Please clean the stovetop and maintain kitchen tidiness after cooking.
Please refrain from hosting parties or bringing members of the opposite sex into the house.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to finding a comfortable and harmonious shared living arrangement.
Sincerely,
Jamie
