Hi! I’m Larissa, 34, Physiotherapist, from Canada. For the past 2 years, I’ve been completing short-term hospital contracts as a locum Physiotherapist in Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. I’m feeling ready to start a new chapter in Western Australia and I’m looking forward to putting down roots in Perth for the next little while and seeing what the city has to offer. I’m looking to rent a furnished room from March 1st for 4 months. My preferred suburbs are Fremantle (Central, South, or East), Hamilton Hill, Mosman Park, Cottesloe, or Claremont.
My work schedule is pretty full on, as I’m working full-time hours (7:30am – 4:30pm) Monday – Friday at Fremantle Hospital and I also do some remote work on the side (evenings and weekends). I’m looking for a quiet, peaceful home environment and a strong wifi connection to align with my remote working needs. I do not have a car, so I'm looking for a place that is either within walking distance of Fremantle Hospital, on a bus route with easy access to Fremantle Hospital, or the Fremantle train line.
Outside of work, I am passionate about wellness and the outdoors. I am into running (I’m currently training for the Gold Coast Marathon in July), yoga, hiking, and scuba diving. My happy place is the beach, so on my days off you’ll most likely find me there with a good book.
I have travelled extensively over the last 15 years, mostly solo with my backpack, and I have shared living spaces with many different people. From hostel dorm rooms to flat shares with friends to hospital-style accommodation in Australia, I’m used to sharing a living space with others. As a roommate, I am kind, clean, and respectful. I’ve adopted a really open and easy-going attitude that fosters a calm and peaceful living environment. I value having my own space to recharge when at home; however, I also love a good chat and genuine connection with my housemates.
My day-to-day schedule is quite routine - I wake up early and go to bed early. I don't smoke and I don't drink. I do eat healthy, whole foods and usually spend 3-4 hours on the weekend doing my meal prep for the coming week. I do eat meat and fish, and I understand that this might not align with everyone, so I want to put it out there in advance. I’m a “clean as I go” type person and make the effort to keep common areas (living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc) clean. I'm a minimalist and therefore appreciate a tidy, clutter-free environment.
Ultimately, I’m looking for a peaceful, friendly home where I can settle in for a while and contribute to a positive vibe. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out so we can speak further. I look forward to connecting with you!
