Hiya, I'm from Wellington (NZ) and as of writing this posting, I am flying over to Sydney (March 30th 2026) to look for a job in my career line of Architecture. I have my Master's in Architecture from Victoria University and was working in a small residential firm. I love going to the gym, playing tennis and going on runs, which sounds painfully cliche, but also unfortunately true. The main reason for moving to Sydney is to find an architectural/construction-based job to progress my career.
What I am personally looking for in a flat here in Sydney is something relatively simple, as I am quite a minimalist, so I don't intend on bringing much with me. I am quite quiet, but I also do enjoy social scenes with flatmates. Realistically, moving to a new city, I would love to make some new friends and would hope that flatmates are a good place to start.
I have 2.5 years of flatting experience, 1 year was with 2 other girls and my girlfriend ( also planning to move to Sydney later this year), and the other year and a half has been myself and my gf in a studio apartment.
To summarise all that, I'm a chill guy who is excited to see what Sydney can offer me.
