Looking for a Room in a Social, Friendly House 🏠
Hi everyone!
I’ve been living in Sydney for about a year now, and after spending most of that time focused on work, I’m starting to look for a bit more connection and a better balance in my day-to-day life. Lately, I’ve been feeling that living alone isn’t quite what I’m looking for anymore - I’d really love to be in a more social and welcoming home environment.
So I’m currently looking for a room in a shared house with a small group of people (ideally around 3– max 4 housemates), where there’s a nice balance between personal space and shared moments - things like cooking together, having dinners, or just enjoying a relaxed, friendly vibe at home.
I’m 32, originally from Brazil, and currently studying Artificial Intelligence here in Sydney. I’d say I’m easygoing, respectful, and sociable - someone who enjoys good conversations but also values quiet time when needed. I love cooking (especially healthy meals - I’m pescatarian), staying active and going to the gym regularly, and keeping a balanced lifestyle. I drink occasionally (not a big drinker), and I’m not really into drugs (occasional 420, but that’s about it). I’m also very open-minded and LGBTQ+ friendly.
📍In terms of location, I’m mainly looking around Darlinghurst, Surry Hills, Bondi Junction, Redfern, Erskineville, and Newtown - or anywhere within a 5–7 minute walk to a train station, and no more than 25 minutes from the city by train.
My budget is around $350–$375 per week. I’m not in a rush - just hoping to find the right place with the right people.
If this sounds like a good fit, or if you know of something similar, feel free to reach out 🙂
Cheers!
