I’m Max, 28, and moving to Sydney from the UK in July. I’ve spent the last five years working as a Special Needs teacher and will be looking working as a casual teaching work once I arrive.

A bit about me – I’m pretty easy-going, respectful of others thoughts and feelings and of shared spaces. Outside of work I (try) spend time at the gym, climbing, and getting out for walks. I’m keen to explore Sydney and see as much of Australia and get my bucket list items ticked off. I’m also really into music and love getting to gigs whenever I get the chance, anything indie, Irish of folky and I’m there!!

I’m big on sport too – I follow Huddersfield Town (tragic, I know), and keep up with cricket and don’t miss a race of the F1.

I love cooking, it’s one of my passions and really big on sharing that passion family-style around the table when others are interested. I’m always up for deep chats, a pub trip, watching some sport, or doing something together, but I’m equally happy doing my own thing too.

Ideally I’m looking for a house that’s friendly and social, where people get along and it feels more like a home than just somewhere to sleep.
