Maia

Hi, my name is Maia and I am 18 years old; a fresh university student at RMIT. In terms of work, I'm currently employed as a receptionist at a dental clinic. I do badminton and gymnastics as my main sports. Otherwise, I wouldn’t consider myself an extremely busy person. I enjoy occupying myself with my artistic hobbies such as drawing, painting, crochet, knitting and lino printing. I am very open to learning new hobbies, such as cooking, playing the guitar and more sports. I like to reserve afternoons and weekends for time to socialise with my friends.

A little about me; I am outgoing & always happy to socialise. However, I tend to keep to myself in private, as having personal space is vital to me. I am a perfectionist, hence I live in a tediously clean & organised space. I enjoy staying active although I remain a homebody at heart, where a comfortable and relaxed environment appeals to me. I am also more of a night owl & enjoy late nights, whether that is for going out, studying or exercising.

The qualities that I tend to look for in a housemate include being able to respect boundaries and communicate. I find that these are two important attributes to have to maximise the best living experience for both parties as they assure comfortability and reassurance of respect and good living conditions.

In terms of sharing supplies, I prefer to keep food and toiletry items separate. However, I’m more than happy to share kitchen appliances, hand soap, vacuums etc. I believe that if everything is separated, it rather becomes more of an inconvenience.
