I am Bas, 26 years old, from The Netherlands. I will be in Brisbane for 4 months for an internship at QUT Garden's Point campus.
I am currently looking for accommodation for my stay in Brisbane. I have already looked at the student accommodation places (StudentOne, Iglu etc...) but they are quite expensive without much to show for it. The only positive of them, in my opinion, is that you live with several other, likeminded students. So, making friends would be easier. And the latter is what I am looking for, but in a nicer, more spacious accommodation.
I am looking for a clean accommodation inside the inner city (or very close to) with easy access to the Garden's Point campus and other facilities like gyms, supermarkets, bars etc.
I am a social and active guy that likes to undertake all kinds of activities, such as visiting events, spontaneous travel trips, or going to the gym. The typical student lifestyle of drinking and partying does not really suit me, although I do not shy away from a party or a drink here and there.
