Nishtha

Hi, I’m Nishtha. I’m moving to Sydney from Brisbane for my career. I work in corporate sustainability, helping companies understand what their investors expect in terms of environmental and social sustainability.

I’ve lived all over Australia and in many parts of the world, but this will be my first time living in Sydney and I’m excited for the change and to build a life here. I can sometimes work long hours during the week, so it’s important for me to live close to transport and in a lively, bustling neighbourhood where there’s plenty happening around me.

I love meeting new people, exploring new cities and finding my new favourite cafes and restaurants. I love going out dancing on weekends, especially to hip hop, Latin and house, and I’m also a DJ. Music and creativity are a big part of my life, so I’d especially love living with other creative people or people who are into music, art and culture. At home I’m fairly quiet and love recharging in my own space, but equally enjoy a conversation, shared meal or connecting with the people I live with.

I don’t smoke and rarely drink these days because I really value my health — but I still love a party! I love to cook at home (I make a mean curry), eat pretty clean and simple, and I’ll definitely be finding a local gym once I arrive.

I’m really looking for a place that feels warm and like home, with a good balance of independence and connection. Ideally I’d live with other professionals who are clean, easygoing and no-fuss, understand what a demanding job can be like, but also have interesting lives and passions outside of work.
