I'm Stefano, a 27y italian moved to Australia one year ago. I'm a really interested person and I love to chat with interesting people . I'm currently working in hospitality (for a kind of 40h pw) .My passions ? Film photography, swimming and traditional sicilian food (yes ,I will prepare this dishes for you lol). In italy i have 2 dogs and 2 cats so no oriblem with animals. I'm actually ready to move
I am coming back from six months backpacking and studying in Europe and two weeks volunteering in Thailand. Before I left Australia, I rented with flatmates for two and a half years and we all had an enjoyable time! I am sociable, easy-going and a good cook so the kitchen will always smell nice! When I get back to Australia, I will be returning to my casual job at Macquarie University where I work 20+ hours a week and I will finish my last semester at the University of Sydney, after which I plan to do my masters in Secondary Education.
We are moving to Sydney as we have both been offered new jobs. I will be working as a food product development manager and Adam will be working as a professional photographer. Adam is very funny and I'm not funny at all but I love a good laugh. I used to be a chef so nothing makes me happier than a clean kitchen and Adam likes to garden and fix things. We’d prefer to live in a house with a little garden so Adam can put his green fingers to work. We both love dogs and are very easily won over by pet owners. Non smokers and very responsible drinkers.
I'm an American trying to find my way back into the inner-inner west (please don’t message for places that are not inner-inner west). I have yet to give my notice at my current location, which is 3 weeks, so the place I'm looking to move into needs to be available around the second week of December. At a glance: - $280/week budget (all bills in this) - Inner inner west/inner city, no more than 30 mins to Central by public transit, with walking time - preferably furnished - preferably no more than 3-4 people in the household - absolutely must be pest-free and clean (old is fine!!) - move in during early-mid December I keep to myself for the most part but I'm social enough that you won't worry about there being a dead body in the room and I'm certainly open to recapping the week over a wine or tea, I clean up all my messes (and I have too much experience cleaning up other people’s messes), and I always pay rent on time. Heck, even early if I can't pay on the scheduled day. I just won't suit a large sharehouse--I find things tend to stray into chaos when there's more than 3-4 unrelated people living under one roof. Currently I live with a married couple, renting a room in their recently acquired apartment. It's new and snazzy but it's expensive and in a sad, bleak part of Sydney. They have been great to live with (the best people I've ever rented from), but I need to find a cheerier suburb. My budget is listed as 280--for me this means all up, all bills, up to 280/week. Additionally, as I am a foreigner, I would GREATLY prefer a furnished place, at least just with a double/queen bed--I don't want to be stuck trying to sell off furniture. I am NOT interested in bleak, gray, apartment-centric suburbs. Thanks for reading and lemme know if what you've got fits! PS: Feel free to ask me about the time I used to live in Glebe with a hoarder who managed to infest the house with fleas while we had no pet. I noped out of that fast and lost so much money in the process. It would explain to you how much of a legend flatmate I am and my perseverance in times of adversity. But really, please, no bug infestations.
Hi I’m Kate from England, im a full time working professional looking for a place closer to my work which is situated within the grounds of Alexandria. I working in Customer Service at a Managment level so most nights I just want to relax and unwind. I’m past my party years so looking for a quiet place with like minded people, although I don’t mind a drink to unwind.
I'm super easy going and can get along well with most! I like to keep my shit tidy and am happy to do my chores weekly. I have a small jungle of plants 🌱 which is ever growing, along with quite a large art collection 🎨 which will usually spill out into the communal areas. I'm quite a social butterfly with pals around or hangs with roomies, but will also have nights locked away in my room with books or Netflix. I'm a recently graduated BFA Acting student, (but I don't scream all the time or have thespian mates who judge you for not knowing who Henrik Ibsen is 🎭). I work full time between auditions in a cafe on king street ☕️🍰. I love to cook and love to share meals so I'll flick you a plate of hearty yums here and there! I'm essentially looking for somewhere I can make into a home in this big bad city, with some people who are kind, clean, creative and open. xx Please don’t get in contact about share rooms or homes above $240 or far from Newtown, I need to stick to my budget, stay close to work and have some privacy, so ta in advance 🙏🏻 Thanks! Ebony 🌙🌼✨
Hello, I’m a Danish guy living in Sydney and currently looking for a new place to live from December 7. I’ve been working at an advertising agency in Surry Hills for the past one and a half years and currently holds a working permit visa, which allows me to stay here for another couple of years. I like surfing, the beach, the Art Gallery, food festivals, going out and so forth. Of course, I’m not expecting you to enjoy the same things as I do — I’m just looking for a place with great people. Also, as mentioned earlier I’m working full-time so I’m looking for a place where I can get a change to work/relax when needed. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Have a good one.
Hi all! I’m Jess, 30, and looking for a new room in the inner west. I am a full time worker (9-5) during the week and have pretty chilled weekends most of the time. Looking for a quiet house with respectful roommates who are clean, social but have their own lives. I currently live right next to a train line, so looking for somewhere quieter than this (please!). I’d also like to just add that I have a partner who may stay over a few nights a week, happy to negotiate. Let me know if I’d be a fit! Cheers.
I'm a clean, tidy, respectful non-smoker who enjoys a quiet chat in the evening. I like the occasional night out for a low-key meal or pub trivia, but otherwise I'm just looking for a place to stay through the week as I fly back to my family in Brisbane each weekend. I'm looking for a room in a shared apartment or small house with other like-minded professionals. Preferably a mixed gender household aged 30's to 40's. I work in Mascot, so I'm looking for somewhere I can walk to work or near a train station. I'm flexible on a move date. Please contact me and we'll arrange to meet up.
I’m an easygoing Scottish girl looking for a place to stay over the summer! Love a good convo over a cup of tea or a glass of wine. I am super clean and tidy, and would be respectful of your privacy if needed. Currently working full time in the CBD, and enjoy exploring the city on the weekends or finding a new pub to have a pint in.
I'm a barista in Alexandria and I do freelance photography on the side. I'm an easy bloke to get along with and definitely don't mind a drink on the weekends(even weekdays). I usually go gym in the afternoon aswell so i'm rarely ever home until later in the evening.
Hey, I'm Shane. I'm 30, Irish, single professional.Recently moved to Sydney. Pretty easy going, tidy, friendly and a respectful housemate. Enjoy socialising but appreciate personal space also. Unfortunately I have cat allergies, so prefer a place with no cats
Born in Sydney, I have been living in Perth for the last couple years, and now want to come back to Sydney! I may have an alternative side and look about me, but I am a committed, kind, and creative individual with a beautiful cat as a pet. We are both very clean and quiet. I don’t really drink and I don’t do drugs. I like going to work, exploring the city or local area, and I like to spend time at home with my cat and potential housemates!
I enjoy having a chat and casual meal and/ or drink with housemates, but also enjoy time to myself - like to think I find a good balance between these two things! I'm very reliable and tidy. I work full-time Monday-Friday, and get out-and-about over the weekend. Any questions, just ask :)
I'm 23 years old and have just moved back to Sydney from Alice Springs. I'm pretty outdoorsy and enjoy going out hiking and camping, but also don't mind eating pizza in front of the TV. I have a job as a casual tour guide in the Blue Mountains and due to the nature of my work am looking to live somewhere pretty quiet so I can relax after long days on the road/in the bush. I am pretty quiet and respectful of personal space, but don't mind having a chat over a cuppa or heading down to the weekend markets with the housies.
Hi ! My name is Helene, i'm a 29 year old french girl. I love to travel, I've been living in Philippines for the last 2years and I'm now hopping to stay for a little while in Australia with my WHV. I'm a spontaneous, respectful and clean person who like to live in shared house (I used to live for a year in a house with 25 personnes in New Zealand!! but smaller will feet me too ;) ) I like to meet and hang out with new people to discover new cultures.
I am moving up to Sydney from Melbourne for a full-time job. I will be moving up to Sydney around 5th of February 2019 and have put up an early listing to see if anything might be available during that time. I am friendly and easy-going, but I also am respectful of other's privacy and personal space. I am tidy and clean, and also very well organised. * I am open to various suburbs that are within 30km of the CBD.
Studying psychology at USYD, a little off centre, super chill, love people and animals :) I’m a proud plant mama with no filter and full of an endless supply of far too personal and totally inappropriate anecdotes. I enjoy company during late night cake sessions (yes, it's a thing), sickly dark humour and poop jokes. (Comes with a netflix and stan account, a blueberry tree named Simone and an infinite supply of free pet-sitting.) Let’s make a home x
30 year old professional, working in insurance.... exciting stuff I know ;) Fairly laid back, like to keep an active lifestyle. During the week will usually be gym after work and chilling. Weekends I'll generally be seeing friends and family. Big sport fan (AFL my favourite). Also love to travel, try new restaurants, bars etc. Dont mind a couple of drinks on the weekend but definitely no party animal. Lived in plenty of sharehouses in the past so no issues there. Relocating to Sydney from Adelaide for work late November. Feel free to flick me a message if you think I'd be a good fit for your place. Nick
Hello :) :) :) I am great to live with as I have lived all over the globe, literally, since I was a kid! I was a Diplomat Brat and have been to school in places such as Singapore..Indonesia & NZ.. The list goes onnnnn and onnnnnn. As an adult, I caught the travel bug and am an online coach and travel the world with my son, aged 3. He's a pretty chill dude, and very respectful of furnishings and space, as he has been to 11+ countries since 6 weeks of age, and more airbnbs than we can count! :) I am currently in Glasgow, UK. Returning to Sydney and wish to stay LONG TERM , ideally 6-12 months in a house, (hopefully longer if we get the right dynamic). I work from a co-working space (The Hub) during the week, and my son attends a preschool 4 days, with a view to 5 in January 2019. We are out and about A LOT (coworking space events...parks..playgrounds...all the free events Sydney has to offer etcetcetc). I have to say that I can afford our own place, and I did this pre moving to the UK, but honestly, after living with people again, I can see my son and I thrive on it and it gets pretty isolating as a solo parent! I'm a pretty chill person. In saying that, I like to tidy up, clean, and cook a lot! (Don't worry, I don't care if you do or not, I just like to ;-). ) *SUPER OPEN MINDED *RESPECTFUL *RELAXED *LOVE COOKING *FINANCIALLY STABLE *SOCIAL *SUSTAINABLE *DIRECT & AMAZING COMMUNICATOR (no passive-aggressive post-it notes or txts, ugh) *LGBT friendly *Great music collection, particularly DRUM AND BASS! I get that living with a 3 year old (***HE'S THREE, THE THING WOULDNT LET ME ADD HIM UNLESS HE WAS 16 YRS OR OLDER-HAHAHA) is not everyone's idea of an ideal housemate, and yet I encourage you to meet us, and then judge for yourselves! I come with good references and referees, as does my little dude, just ask :). *I also have a fair bit of furniture (dining table/butcher's bench/couch, artwork) which is in storage in Sydney at the moment, from our last home. I guess I'll tell you about my favourite living arrangements that seemed to work best for us: BERLIN WAREHOUSE *We had a massive room and ensuite *The house was full of DJs and artists (perfect for my son to enjoy company and they were always making noise themselves, so didn't mind much what he was up to) *we got to be social and have company, but also enough space to retreat when we wanted GLASGOW HOUSE *This was a small space with one other gay woman and her cat. She worked a lot at a bar. When she was home, we were social and shared a vino or three while my son played. Will miss this place!! My son loves all animals and loves giving the dog a walk if you have one ! Spaces that DIDNT work: * People who are allergic to kids (they exist) *Toxic people who are low vibe and negative *If you communicate passive-aggresively via sms or post it notes and have no communication skills *Uptight/super anal people *If you are a light-sleeper (sometimes he wakes up at 5am, that's kids for you) ---Haaaa! That's what earplugs and wine are for riiiight? Looking forward to hearing from all the high-vibe lovers who'd be keen to setup a great space together or already established a space for us to add to! X Pixie & Zen
Hey! I'm currently studying for my PhD and looking for a place to live for the next year or so. I study full time during the week, but on weekends I like to hang out at art galleries and markets, or just reading in a park. Ideally, my future housemates would become friends, or at least keen to hang out and have chats over dinner/a couple of drinks every now and then. I'm a pretty tidy person, I love animals (if you have fur babies that's a plus for me), and I'm ready to move out pretty much whenever, but would prefer early next year.
I’m an adventurous, active, and social person, and I’m a respectful and clean housemate. I love salsa dancing, and being in the outdoors incl hiking and camping, and I’m always keen to try new things. I’m 32. I'm a lawyer, working in an NGO.
Looking to either find a good unfurnished room in a great share house or find cool, like-minded people to start a new share house with. Originally from the UK, I'm moving to Sydney after five brilliant years in Brisbane. I am easy-going, creative, love my music and really looking forward to getting involved in what Sydney has to offer once I start my new job at USyd in Autism and Mental Health research. I like to live with people who all put together to make a happy household and share in the cleaning, the occasional meal or drinks together as well as sitting down to watch a good TV show or movie at the end of a long day every so often. Looking to live with people who eventually become friends. I have lived with housemates' cats and dogs over the years and love it.
