Jake and Kerys

Hi! I’m Jake, and I’ve recently moved to Australia from Wales with my partner, Kerys. We’re looking to settle around the Gold Coast and find somewhere we can really make feel like home.
I’m a barber and will be starting work in a local barber shop within the next month, while Kerys has a background in children’s social care and is currently applying for jobs. We actually own our own home back in the UK, which we’re currently renting out while we’re in Australia, so we’re used to looking after a home and take a lot of pride in where we live. We’re both clean, tidy and respectful and would always treat a home as if it were our own.
We’re pretty easy-going and friendly people who enjoy having a laugh and getting to know the people we live with, but we’re also respectful of everyone’s privacy and space. Outside of work, we enjoy going to the gym, exploring new places, going to the beach and travelling. We’re equally happy having a chilled night in watching films or having food and a catch-up.
We’re open to either a flat share with friendly, like-minded people or finding our own space. Ideally, we’re looking for somewhere clean, relaxed and homely where we can settle in, get along with the people we live with and feel comfortable, while everyone still has their own space.
