Hi – I am looking for someone to share my house with on either a short term (min 6 months) or a longer term basis. I have a room available to rent that also comes with a smaller room attached that can be used as a study/office and/or a TV/small lounge room. What's great about the property? I have lived here for 7 years and love the place. Its a nice, homely, clean and well-kept older style character home with polished boards, with a big back yard and trees. The house is in a great location with only a 7 minute walk to the shops or bus stop on Canning Hwy. The person I am looking to share the place with must like animals and especially cats - and perhaps best if they aren't allergic to them :-) lol. I have 3 and they are my fur-ball kids and I admit they are spoilt and the home is theirs (except for the persons' rooms that I will share with of course) so I am looking for someone who loves animals and is always kind to them. I am vegan and no apologies for that (unfortunately the cats aren’t vegan and soy products and vegetables don’t really do it for them ;-). I am looking for someone who is a non smoker, doesn't do drugs and perhaps more into an alternative lifestyle, rather than a party all the time person. Know that it’s a big ask and I don’t judge others… but I’d prefer to be honest and straight up front.
Welcome to my humble abode! I have literally had to drop everything and leave my beautiful home which I adore for work opportunities over East so naturally I need to rent my place out and so is available immediately! Situated in beautiful Melville opposite a big park and gym facilities between the main Canning Hwy and Marmion St, the secure villa is not even 10km to Fremantle and the always picturesque Leighton beach and 2km to the Swan River. Major transport links along Canning and Leach highway provide bus links to and from the city, Curtin and Murdoch University and Garden City Shopping Centre. The house/villa is most certainly a home and is fully renovated with a beautiful outdoor sanctuary (if you're lucky the neighbours mango tree drops all its fruit in my yard so you'll have them all season), and entertaining area with a personalised and self constructed floating concrete BBQ. Inside the floors are polished concrete with wool carpet in all bedrooms and feature walls in the living and dining area. The bathroom boasts an open shower (call me an exhibitionist but I love the lack of clutter but if this isn't your thing I will consider a screen), toilet and mirror cabinets and there is a separate toilet in the laundry. The house is fully furnished though can remove things if you'd like to put your own spin on it. Currently the third bedroom is set up as my study though could easily put another bed in there. Foxtel and internet are installed though are additional to the rent and other utility bills. There is air con in the main bedroom and living area and with the concrete floors keeps the house very cool in summer. Being one of 4 (with no common walls at all!) on a 2050sqm block, the house is incredibly secure and quiet and the neighbours are a delight. I've entertained a fair bit over the years and never once have they complained. This has been my home for 5 years and my heart and soul, blood, sweat and tears has been spent on making this a home I am proud of (not to mention a lot of $$$!) so I am looking for someone to love and take care of it as much as I do (especially the garden which you'll come to love anyway!). Ideally it would be suited to professionals, couples or a young small family but hey I'm not fussy as long as you're good, respectable, tidy and honest natured and will look after my home till I come back one day then you'll be perfect. Unfortunately I really do not want pets but I may be swayed if you have a cat or goldfish (I love dogs but I just have no grass as the outdoor area is concrete aggregate). Whilst I'm all for being social and entertaining this isn't a student party house, sorry guys! - especially now it's renovated and fully furnished. It is also walking distance from an IGA which is very convenient. • The house is only a few years old so it is in excellent condition with a very easy-to-care-for garden (mostly astroturf). It has ducted refrigerative air conditioning, so no sweating through summer! We also get a cleaner in each fortnight so the place is well looked after. • It is 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom; the soon-to-be-vacant room is upstairs sharing a bathroom with 2 others. • Rent is currently $322 a fortnight for this room, though this may go even lower with the new lease. • As long as you have a newer car than two housemates you get a carport bay. • Before moving in you will need to be interviewed by at least some of the current housemates and then the landlady. I have a cute little urban place in Bicton (basically on the border of east freo), 1 minute walk to a heap of shops, and the river/Bicton baths is about 5 minutes walk. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the heart of Fremantle. Its not far off the main road so super close to bus stops also :) I absolutely love living here. It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom with a study and a huge huge huge lounge/living room and the added bonus is the beautiful pool/chill out area. I'm looking to rent the spare room out to the right person. There is ample parking, with the driveway about to be repaved to over-double width, and lawn parking as well. Security is excellent with premium mesh security screens throughout to allow the breeze. Very quiet, peaceful house and location. Within 200m of the Palmyra / Stammers Shopping Centre and to the Bus stops along Canning Highway. Only one house mate (33y.o. Male) to deal with who's very relaxed and pretty easy going. Mini gym setup at the back with virtually a zero maintenance garden. The room has decent size B.I.R and some box shelving if you wish to use otherwise can relocate it into the lounge. Can furnish the room for a small increase in the weekly rent. Fit's a Queen bed comfortably but any larger and it'll be a little cramped. Bills on average per person work out to be an extra $12 or so a week. Air-conditioned lounge room although the house stays relatively cool on your usual 35 degree day. House has just about everything you need to get settled in and just relax.
