Living in Bracken Ridge is great. The location is fantastic. A quick drive to the beaches in Sandgate, Brighton, Shorncliffe. Coles, Woolworths, Bunnings, Aldi are all a short drive away too. 330 bus is also very convenient to Chermside, the City and South Bank. A short walk up the hill and you are in a park that has city views and airport views. Just my daughter and I living here at the moment but she will be moving out in Jan 18. Easy going household. I don't love cleaning but I do try to keep the house reasonably tidy. Visitors are OK as long as the noise is kept down as my neighbors go to bed really early. We have a dog and a cat. If you have animals, then we just need to check that they all get along. We don't have a front fence so the front door needs to be kept closed all the time so the dog won't run away.
The house is an elevated 3 bedroom house in bracken ridge. Standard room size with wardrobe and large windows for maximum breeze. I have a huge backyard and a medium sized back deck area. Downstairs is built in with a laundry and carport that I use for storage at the moment :) The house is fully furnished, except the available room. Kitchen has character and is decked out with anything and everything you might need. My room and the lounge are currently airconditioned and I'm intending to install aircon in the spare room at a later date. In terms of location, there's a bus stop out the front and the closest train station is bald hills which isn't too far away. Bracken ridge shops are a 5min drive, as is the gateway. Last bus leaving from there is 6:45pm. Last bus to arrive back is 8:48pm. Once on the bus it takes 11 minutes to kallangur station. Kallangur station has a train every 10 minutes and therefore when you get off the bus a train arrives within a few minutes. The train from kallangur station to central station is 40 minutes.
