Ideally looking for a female roommate, but at the end of the day it just comes down to the right fit. You'll be joining to working professionals, a Cafe Manager, a Personal Trainer and her super friendly staffy named Roxy! The room itself is quite big. I am able to comfortably fits a queen sized bed, clothing rack, chest of drawers, a desk and shelves with room left over. I am a 31 year old community services student and also working part-time. The other housemate is a 43 year old male labourer working part time. One room is available now (furnished or BYO bed - your choice) in this three-bedroomed Queenslander. I am looking for an easy-going, friendly person who doesn’t mind my well behaved dogs and who is also happy to live in a household with a strict "no alcohol and no drugs on the premises" policy. At our house we don’t drink, so this is a non-negotiable policy for the wellbeing of the current tenants, but applies only to you and any friends while at the house - I don't mind what you do elsewhere. I am a smoker, so smokers (outside only) are welcome, and this is a friendly and peaceful household in all other respects. The house is an older Queenslander, located in a quiet dead-end street in Coorparoo. It has a basic but well-presented living space with a nice energy to it. The house is fully furnished. Your room has a built-in wardrobe, and a cooling ceiling fan. It is currently unfurnished, so you can bring your own bed or furniture can be provided (a king-single bed and mattress). Please note that though the room is a reasonable size, it is not really large enough for a queen-size bed (double is OK - the photo on this site is of the room with double bed). The house is very close (one minutes walk) to Coorparoo train station, two major bus routes and a safe bike route to the City. Shops with movies, cafes, and supermarkets are close by, and we are only less than four kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. Very close to public transport (10 min walk to bus, 25 to train), and only takes about half an hour to get to the CBD from the moment you leave the front door, however I love to Lime scooter home. Woolies, Coles, Aldi, Maccas, Dominoes, BWS, ben & jerries, a cheap servo and the cinemas are all in a 10 minute walking distance so that's a bonus.
