We take care of all your linen (but you are free to bring your own if you wish). We supply all the necessities including dishwashing liquid etc. You just need to bring your personal items and bathtowels and groceries. The kitchen has a gas cooktop, dishwasher and there is a spare fridge for all your items too. We also have a big deep chest freezer. The house has a few different living areas including a big , back deck with bbq which you are welcome to use. A big, private backyard. We live a 5-10 min walk from Gaythorne train station and the 390 bus is a 5 minute walk away. Driving to the CBD takes about 10-15min from here. We don't advertise often as we have had some wonderful housemates who have stayed up to 3 years. But they are all moving on so the room is up for rent again. We are a professional couple working fulltime and our daughter lives with us, she's in year 11 and is used to having flatmates living with us. We love to cook, go camping, head to the beach, watch DVDs and movies and are open minded and friendly. We are definitely not a party house but we are not uptight either - we look forward to our friday afternoons like everyone! We sometimes take in dogs to train them for re-homing so you must not mind having a pet around on occasion! (One of us is a vet). We don't usually charge a bond because we expect you to treat our home as if it were your own. We are tidy people, not complete perfectionists but find living in a tidy environment is better for everyone. The main train and bus station is a 2 minute walk, across the road. Lots of bus options. Train to the Valley takes 15 mins, 18 mins to city. Ubers will be a thing of the past. :) The available bedroom has air-conditioning, built-in wardrobe, ceiling fan and a view out to the back garden. It's approx 3 x 3.5 metres (easily fits a queen bed, bedsides, drawers, etc - see pic). Room comes unfurnished. The living area is roomy and also has air-conditioning. Huge lounge room with plenty of space to relax - many Netlix nights with the girls are spent in there. Massive garage which holds two cars and ample street parking. We tend to take it in turns with who parks in the garage. There's also space to park on the driveway or in the backyard. The bond is actually $560 as we split it three ways when we moved in. Room will come with the clothes hanger and can organise to leave bed and mattress there at a cost (can be negotiated), otherwise I will take it with me.

Available around the end of April. Note: We will require future tenants to go on the lease. The house is a great big old Queenslander that borders the Enoggera Army Barracks. Very safe and quiet neighbourhood within a short walking distance to city buses, and a medium walking distance to the trainline and some local shops. It's a very short drive to larger shopping centres, with Coles, Woolworths, and an Aldi only a few moments away. For students without vehicles, getting to UQ or QUT is not too much of a hassle, and it only takes me about 40 minutes to get to UQ (Google Maps says it would take only 30mins to get to QUT Kelvin Grove). We have a sizeable yard, pretty large kitchen with a gas stovetop, gas hot water, three large bedrooms upstairs and one large one downstairs. Two of the three upstairs rooms have their own airconditioning and the other has an ensuite. None of the rooms share walls, so privacy is abundant. There are two living spaces upstairs, one with airconditioning, and one living space downstairs. Storage available in the garage, with a carport out the front with space for two vehicles. We have unlimited cable internet with Optus (30mbits). If you are a gamer or enjoy downloading and streaming, this should suit you nicely, with an optional speed pack (100mbit) for an extra cost per month that we can negotiate for if required. All bills are split evenly and come to about $20 per week (generally we take this in addition to the rent). This is not a party house. Peace and quiet is preferred, but you may of course have some mates over; we are not antisocial and BBQs are always a great time :) Smokers are OK but you may only smoke outside.

The unit is located very nice and close to multiple fast food options including grilled,subway,sushi,burrito bar,kfc and multiple other ones not to mention being within walking distance to coles and woolworths and a few gyms. The unit has aircon in the main bedroom and the living room and was completely renovated a few years back so it looks a little older on the outside but nice and new on the inside.
