Hi there, we have two rooms available. The first one is a single room, complete with single bed, comfortable pillowtop CLEAN mattress, all linen included. Double wardrobe with shelving and hanging space. Desk and chair and bedside table and lamp. Comfortable room on the ground floor that catches all then northerly breezes. Bathroom is very big with a big tub and separate shower recess. We have another room with a double bed and own bathroom (toilet and shower). This room is on the top floor and comes with chests of drawers. Again the room catches the northerly breezes. Timber blinds in all bedrooms. We take care of all your linen (but you are free to bring your own if you wish). We supply all the necessities including toilet paper, dishwashing liquid etc. You just need to bring your personal items and bathtowels and groceries. The kitchen has a gas cooktop, dishwasher and there is a spare fridge for all your items too. We also have a big deep chest freezer. The house has a few different living areas including a big , back deck with bbq which you are welcome to use. A big, private backyard. We live a 5-10 min walk from Gaythorne train station and the 390 bus is a 5 minute walk away. Driving to the CBD takes about 10-15min from here. We don't advertise often as we have had some wonderful housemates who have stayed up to 3 years. But they are all moving on so the rooms are up for rent again. We are a professional couple working fulltime and our daughter lives with us, she's in year 11 and is used to having flatmates living with us. We love to cook, go camping, head to the beach, watch DVDs and movies and are open minded and friendly. We are definitely not a party house but we are not uptight either - we look forward to our friday afternoons like everyone! We don't usually charge a bond because we expect you to treat our home as if it were your own. We are tidy people, not complete perfectionists but find living in a tidy environment is better for everyone. The main train and bus station is across the road (2 minute walk) - lots of transport options. The available bedroom has air-conditioning, built-in wardrobe, ceiling fan, approx 3 x 3.5 metres, and has a view out to the back garden. Easily fits a queen bed (see pic for example; room comes unfurnished). The living area is quite large and also has air-conditioning. There's an outdoor courtyard off the living room, with a BBQ and outdoor setting - great place to get some sun and watch the world go by. The bathroom/laundry is spacious and has a lovely big bathtub. The toilet is separate. There's street parking directly outside the unit. It's a quiet set of units. Neighbours say hi but other than that everybody pretty much keeps to themselves. Anything else, please feel free to ask.

Very safe and quiet neighbourhood within a short walking distance to city buses, and a medium walking distance to the trainline and some local shops. It's a very short drive to larger shopping centres, with Coles, Woolworths, and an Aldi only a few moments away. For students without vehicles, getting to UQ or QUT is not too much of a hassle, and it only takes me about 40 minutes to get to UQ (Google Maps says it would take only 30mins to get to QUT Kelvin Grove). We have a sizeable yard, pretty large kitchen with a gas stovetop, gas hot water, three large bedrooms upstairs and one large one downstairs. Two of the three upstairs rooms have their own airconditioning and the other has an ensuite. None of the rooms share walls, so privacy is abundant. There are two living spaces upstairs, one with airconditioning, and one living space downstairs. Storage available in the garage, with a carport out the front with space for two vehicles. We have unlimited cable internet with Optus (30mbits). If you are a gamer or enjoy downloading and streaming, this should suit you nicely, with an optional speed pack (100mbit) for an extra cost per month that we can negotiate for if required. All bills are split evenly and come to about $20 per week (generally we take this in addition to the rent). This is not a party house. Peace and quiet is preferred, but you may of course have some mates over; we are not antisocial. Smokers are OK but you may only smoke outside.
