I love living here because it's handy to everything. Gordon Park seems to be one of those 'forgotten' suburbs that no-one knows about! It's sandwiched between Kedron, Woolowin, Stafford and Lutwyche. If you have mobility problems (there are 2 flights of stairs) or cat allergies it will not suit you. My unit is well-equipped, airy, spacious and has just been repainted so is fresh and clean. It is close to parks and by car about 15 minutes to Brisbane City, ten minutes to Chermside and 3 mins to Stafford City and Lutwyche. The bus stop is 5 minutes' walk and it's one bus to the city or RBH. Beautiful bikeways and walking paths are close by at Kedron Brook too. I'm a happy, professional woman, respectful of others and their space. I'm into nature and wildlife, plus photography. I also work part-time and sometimes that's more like full-time! Occasionally I have to work away for a few days, maybe once every 3 months and it would be great if you were open to feeding the cat and watering plants while I'm away. You might be wondering why this is so high on the list of features, but tell me where do you see all 3 Of these shops without going to chermside and having to battle a soccer mum who thought she could fit her 4wd with “my family” stickers on the back in a tiny park these days? - Your room is actually the master bedroom so it has a private ensuite and private access to the balcony. This is a great unit for students, or anyone looking for a decent sized one bedroom close to the city. I have had to break my lease to move onto a bigger property, but have lived here for a year and a half as a single person, and I have loved it. This unit is super close to public transport (there are bus stops all around it), within 10 minutes' walk to Stafford City Shopping Centre, and Stafford State School. It's a short 10 minute drive to the City, Chermside and the Airport. Location, location, location! There is an allocated off-street carpark, airconditioning, gas stove and hot water, space for a washing machine in a shared laundry and an updated bathroom and kitchen. Pets are considered upon application (I have a bird and one of the neighbours has a cat). The bedroom area is huge (ample space for a big bed and office area), and there's a big built-in wardrobe. Water is included in the rent, and other bills for such a small place are pretty minimal. There is a phone line there, but it needs to be 'activated' or something. Telstra has informed me that this would only be a $99 fee (you might be able to convince the real estate to cover it). Overall, it's perfect for someone who needs their own space, on a budget. I couldn't recommend it more. The real estate was also super easy to deal with, my property manager even came over to help me install my washing machine.
