My house is a super safe, quiet little place. It's not big - three smallish size bedrooms and a shared through bathroom. It is a townhouse with shared walls on both sides, but quiet neighbours. Really close to public transport and with good proximity to shops. Rent includes water, electricity, gas and internet. Harrison is a great location which not many people seem to know about. It's at the bottom of Gungahlin region, near Mitchell, and with access to Flemington Road there's public transport direct to the city and Gungahlin. SImilarly, its near Horsepark Drive (direct access to Fyshwick) and the GDE. If you work in the city, or Belconnen, it's a great spot. Currently I have two spare bedrooms - one is set up for guests with a sofa bed, and the third is set up for yoga/Pilates. My intention is to rent out the third room (empty or with the sofa bed) and make the yoga room suitable for guests. The lounge/dining/kitchen space is in one room and is fairly well stocked. I don't have a Tv! I know it's weird but I tend to watch my iPad in bed. There's air conditioning in the lounge and a gas heater. There is a garden but it is a total work in progress. Aka, it's a dirt patch that I want to turn into a lush green space ideal for handstands and lying in the sun. I do have a small dog door from when my dog lived with me. It is suitable for smaller to medium size dogs but not quite big enough for active or larger dogs. My main hope in renting my room out is not only to find a friend, but hope the extra income can help me do some upgrades for the home, eg a dishwasher, a lawn etc. I host dinner/lunch parties relatively frequently , and have friends and family from interstate who come to stay with me, sometimes for extended periods of time eg for seasonal work.

Forde is an excellent suburb, open and spacious with lots of green areas. We are at the end of the lake in Forde so we have beautiful views over the lake. Our house is a 2 min walk from the bus stop. You can go for a nice 7km run around the lake here. We have 2 student rooms available which are spacious and sunny. It is a shared bathroom between maximum of 3 students, with each their own sink. We have a cute dog that is small, a jack russel crossed with a chihuahua, who loves cuddles and is harmless.

Lake close by for walks as well as bushland and parks. Bike paths everywhere, can ride to Belconnen in 30 mins. Buses into the city or Belconnen easy to catch. There is a morning express bus directly from Forde to the city and beyond with the bus stop only 100 meters from house. Like the documentary shows on tv, Big Bang Theory, movies, current affairs and some real life shows. But two tv rooms so can easily have different tv viewing habits. Bills and internet could be included if moderate use only. Parking may have to be on the street or there is one space in the driveway, safe area and under street-light.
