Summer in sunny Thornbury house. We are looking for a couple or a single for our house! For a sublet from 22nd of December until 19th of Jan. (4 weeks exactly but date can be flexible!) We are a 3 bedroom house in Thornbury, just over the Northcote border and on the St George’s side. About the house: Your room would be the biggest room of the house, at the front with large windows. FOR A COUPLE: The sublet amount would be $1200 which equates to $300 a week FOR A SINGLE: The sublet amount would be 100, which equates to 250 a week. It will absolutely be the coolest of all the rooms over summer and will be empty when you arrive. (I can arrange a queen bed if needed) Washing machine and dryer with the ol’ separate toilet which we love and large sunlit living room that backs on to our decent sized backyard. We have a producing and cared for veggie garden which will be all yours to eat, as well as compost that we would love you to be aware of! We live 500m from the Yarra River, Westorfolds Bushland Park, Wombat Bend Playspace and a platypus(yes, it can be seen most days). We are 600m walk from all the shops you could want, IGA, chemist, cafes, restaurants, fitness and beauty places, bank, wineshop, etc. The house has gas ducted heating for the top floor. The downstairs room (1) is not ducted but has an ensuite and is cool in summer. It is 4.5m x 4m with ensuite. Being downstairs, you can slip in and out via the backdoor just like its your own entrance. The upstairs room (2) is the master bedroom with heaps of built in robes. The room is 5m x 4.5m with a north facing main window and a high up window facing east. The backyard is big and we grow veggies that we will share with housemates. We have a wood fired pizza oven outback which is free to use. There are 2 living rooms, one set up for music(I DJ), the other for tv with an open fireplace and balcony. The 905 bus is 100m away and takes you to the city in 35mins and to the Pines shopping centre in 10mins. All bills are included apart from heating in Room (1) downstairs. Heating for that room will be monitored by a current meter as it will need electric heating in the winter which may cost about $40 a month based on previous experience. The net is cable and soon we will be offered NBN. So you have the choice of a smaller, more private room with ensuite downstairs or the much larger room upstairs. The choice is yours.
