Walking in the front door is the second living area with ample cupboard space to store all that stuff you “haven’t quite had a chance to sort through yet” as well as a space for a second TV. Under the stairs you will find another storage area. There are two great (equal in size) bedrooms with built in wardrobes as well as louvered windows, air conditioning and ceiling fans. The downstairs bedrooms share a beautiful recently renovated bathroom with waterfall shower-head and ample storage space behind the double fold out mirror and vanity unit. Downstairs also has access to the seperate laundry room (washer and dryer included), clothes line, and the single lock up garage (currently used by one of the tenants.) Plenty of cafes and shops within walking distance. Coles/bakery/bottleo 5 minute walk. A 10 minute uber to the valley or 15 minutes to the city. Public transport is easily accessible: the 196 stops within 150m; 199 is a 500m walk; ferry and city cycle within walking distance.

I have a great space, hassle-free, clean and easy to live in. House has heating and aircon with ceiling fans throughout all rooms. The room has a Queen-size bed with a good mattress and bed-side tables as well as a built-in robe. The toilet and bathroom are right next to the room, so no streaking across the lounge at night required lol. All linen supplied. The room can be unfurnished if needed and a study desk and chair can be added if required. Home is walking distance to bus and Underwood Market Place Shopping Centre. Nearest train at Kuraby, which is a long walk but can be done in under 30 minutes. House located in quiet (no through), street with not much traffic. Bus at the end of the street goes straight to Garden City terminal which you can then get anywhere from there. The City is a 15-20 minute drive if no traffic and the airport is the same. A few of the universities, Griffith Nathan and Mt Gravatt Campus's are close (15 minutes by car) for those that need to be close, and QUT city campus is only 20 minutes by car on the motorway. All bills are included, internet, power, etc, all you have to buy is your own food and toiletries. If one of us decides to cook up a storm, we usually call it a housemates dinner and share with all. Sunday night we usually get together for dinner and all look forward to it, in short, we all get along very well and often go out together. This is, of course, optional if you prefer to hide away from the crowd. The person must be very clean and tidy, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. All you need is close, gym, banks, take-away, coffee club, uber eats, fuel, movies, brothels, churches, temples, tattoo shop, pub, 711 store, fuel, freeways to north, south, west and the airport just there and the best Thai restaurant ever. I am happy to throw your washing in if you are busy, in fact, I do what I can to make life easy around the house. Of course, I never mind if you want to mow the lawn though :) All that have stayed in the past have ended up long term, which says a lot about the house, in short, it has a real homely feel to it and we all end up being long-time friends, as is obvious when past roomies end up dropping in and out to say hi and come to parties :) I have had many exchange students and uni students in and out over the past 20 years, so I love having new people coming into the house, Many a good conversation had here with folks from all over the world. I do have interesting characters pop in occasionally, mostly place is pretty quiet though. I have two flatmates here, Amy is a Psychology student and Chris, who is a full-time chef and out before the birds of a morning. I am a part-time psychotherapist with a good sense of humor, especially when it comes to the workings of our mind and the bullshit our children try to get away with :) I have raised 4 children, so I do understand why some animals eat their young and can handle most emergencies extremely well :) Honesty is a big thing here and so we all expect you to be respectful of others belongings. Us girls appreciate the toilet seat being left down :) no 'dribbles' on the floor and if you leave 'skid marks', expect a WTF? New housemate must be employed, have a car, not be a big drinker, or someone who is into drama and doesn't shut up, sorry we all have our own stuff going on here and haven't time to listen :) If you smoke you can smoke outside.
