3x1 in West Leederville, $190 a week + bills Alex and I are looking for a new housemate to join our home in West Leederville. Our friend and current housemate Holly is leaving us for overseas adventures and will be leaving her room on the 30th of May. It's a cute, old character house with less than 5 minutes walking distance to Coles, Snap fitness, a few good cafés and restaurants as well as West Leederville train station. Takes about 7 minutes to walk to Leederville train station and about 10 min to Leederville bars and restaurants. Saying that, there's really no need to have a car and I most often just take my bicycle or public transport wherever I go 🙂 We do have a single lane parking spot that fits two cars however and another two parking permits for the street, so if you'd be bringing a car, parking's covered. We’re looking for a considerate and somewhat tidy and social individual. The room we're renting out is quite old fashioned (read: beautiful with lots of character, think: Mt Lawley cottage) and has a big decorative fireplace in it. All furniture in the pictures can probably be bought from Holly who's moving out, but could come unfurnished as well if that's the preference. Being a three bedroom one bathroom house, we do share the bathroom as well as the third bedroom that is currently in use as a guest room/reading room/office space. The rest of the house is furnished and includes some comfortable amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and of course, Netflix. Everything you need is close by, coles, bws, post office, cafes, 24hr gym, local pub, bus stops, both Fremantle and Joondalup line stations are all within very easy walking distance. The house itself is tidy, functional and welcoming. It’s two story which helps separate our private spaces from the communal ones. My personal favourite area of the house is our back patio, it’s the perfect place to just chill out with a cup of tea. The room we have available is admittedly a bit small but it is still liveable. (Please note that the availablity date is not 100% set, it will be early to mid June though)
We have a cosy room available in a relaxed house in Wembley, furnished with a double bed, side table and built in robe and ducted air-con in each room. There is also a shared office, and big outdoor undercover area which is perfect for entertaining in the summer. The house is in a great location with Subi train station and Wembley IGA both within walking distance. The bus stop is on the next street with frequent busses to the CBD and city beach. There is a second parking bay if you have a car however it maybe more convenient to park on the street (plenty of spaces and permit available) as the bays are behind each other. The house is across the road from Lake Monger and is a 6 minute bike ride into Leederville and Subi, so a bit of a hotspot for cafes, bars, restaurants and/or shopping. The lake’s awesome for riding around or just soaking up some vitamin D. It’s a 10 min drive to City Beach and a 20 min bike ride to the city. The room is furnished but we can move that out if you want to bring your own stuff in. Rent is 125.00 per week excluding bills, which are usually around $50 per month. The lease is until January, when it can potentially be renewed. We would ideally like someone who is looking to stay until that point at least. We all go in on communal food purchases to make things easier and to focus on shared meals. As much as we love animals, no pets allowed.
