Buses to the city run frequently during peak hours and then hourly 10am - 3 pm. From 3.30 pm - 7.00 pm they have multiple hourly services again.

This place is a real little gem - close to the bush but not too far from the city. We are all friendly down to earth and open minded people - we like to chat but also respect each other's space. My Villa is a 3 bedroom property within a very quiet non gated complex which has a swimming pool and tennis court. I have a nice good sized yard with an undercover BBQ area. There is only me living in the Villa and who ever becomes my house mate would be the only other person living here. You would be welcome to bring people home and stay overnight or for a couple of nights or so. the Villa is fully furnished with big screen TV , Bigpond Movies and Netflix and unlimited WiFi and local and interstate calls all included. Your room contains a double bed (linen available if required) a six drawer bureau. You have your own private shower/ bath room and toilet as well as a separate air conditioned study / den which has a fold down couch / bed and TV . You will be close to public transport both trains and buses ( it is 13 kms to the City) . There are two Shopping Centre's close by with major stores and Medical Facilities. Keperra Golf Course and the Brisbane State Forest is about 10mins away. I don't mind smoking but it must be outside. I work in Hospitality for a Law Firm, which is mainly day work. But I also do occasional night shifts. I am a very easy going person and would like a House mate who also is. One thing though, is I am very neat and clean and expect the same. I generally look after the cleaning of the house except for your area. I don't mind you entertaining and everything in the house can be used, there is a 6 burner BBQ and the Kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of crockery etc. Age is not an issue.

Fully Furnished apartment as the downstairs part of traditional Triple Gable Bardon house. I am a 38yr old, single professional male. I live upstairs with my three kids who are with me half the time. The flat is beautifully renovated, with quality finishes throughout like hardwood floors and marble bench tops. There are two modest sized bedrooms with good sized built in cupboards. One bedroom has a queen sized bed (I can supply the linen), and draws, the other has a large desk. The furnishing has changed a little since these photos above. There is a small kitchenette with fridge, convection microwave, induction hot plates and small appliances. All crockery and cookware already in place. The bathroom is a good size with large shower, lots of storage, and a front load washing machine. The living room has a three seat sofa and armchair, dining table for two and a 40" Sony TV. Bardon is a beautiful suburb, well connected to the city with regular bus services. It's only $13 Uber to the CBD, so it's a great location for a night out. We have a large park within 250m, great running tracks along the creek and a cool cafe over the road. Would suit someone who is looking for a beautiful secure home close to the city. I have a strong preference for a normal person. You know; no crazy parties, no weird behaviour. Over the last four years I have had the good fortune to have a wonderful international student and then a professional woman. My ideal tenant would be long term, educated, interesting and easy to get along with. Might suit a uni student from the country, international student, single working person. I'm open to pets, but I have high expectations of behaviour. I wouldn't allow a loud or destructive dog . The downsides. The living room of the granny flat is partially overlooked by the upstairs entrance hall. Security is good, but the privacy of the living space isn't perfect. When I built it, I did a lot of work to minimise sound from upstairs with specialised insulation and more, but you would still know when I am home. All bills including high-speed cable internet included. Possible upsides: If you are new to Brisbane the kids and I would be happy to show you around our favourite places and help you get settled.
