The house is on Waterworks Road, entrance of The Gap, in between the The Gap Tavern, Ashgrove Golf Club, the BP and Dominoes; and although based on the main road, the property is placed behind a wall of trees which seclude the property from main road. The property has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 toilet downstairs, 2 door garage downstairs huge area for parking (outside and underneath). As seen in photos, there are two outside sitting areas - a smaller at the front and another bigger deck out the back which is really nice to BBQ on in the summer. Between 3 tenants, rent comes to $122.00pw and considering you will be using the same utilties as we have, utilities sometimes can end up being $200 a month. (this may vary). Walking to public transport is about a 5-10 minute walk to bus services 380, 381, 382, 383, 384, 385 and as on the main road, it is easy for Uber's to locate. Looking for one housemate for a place in The Gap. Rent $185/week which will cover rent and power will be under my name. The place has two bathrooms and one kitchen to share between the four bedrooms. Male or female.The house is actually five bedrooms, I'm not keen on having more than four people in the house as I feel it would be a bit over crowded as such I'm not currently considering couples. Those living in the house are more than welcome to use the 5th bedroom for storage, wardrobe space, etc. There are two enclosed carports. There is plenty of room for storage in the house, is two storey and has a front and back balcony. Two of the bedrooms are pretty large, the other is average sized. House is in a good state – the floors no longer have carpet and are currently being sanded and polished (23rd-27th July). Move in date will be 5th of August however can discuss if you need to move in earlier/later – am happy to accommodate your movements so long as they are reasonable. The house is conveniently located 2 minutes walk from a bus stop heading into the city. Only 2 minutes drive from The Gap Village with a Coles and an Aldi. Ample yard, no fences so dogs, cows and llamas are unfortunately not allowed…i am also allergic to cats. Birds, fish and other pets will be happily considered! Furniture/white good wise – I have a fridge, washing machine, couches, dining table, TV, dinnerware and most importantly - a ping pong table You won’t be expected to tend to the yard other than keep it free of rubbish, similarly with the house – just looking for clean housemates who will not run down the property and will give the house a tidy and vacuum every once in a while. This is a lovely air-conditioned house in "St John's Wood", Ashgrove, we call this house the Tree House because it is surrounded by lush greenery with decks and a sunroom to take it all in right by the enoggera creek. The house is a short walk to Banneton Bakery, Dan Murphy's and in between Coles and Woolworths, plus the newly opened Aldi at The Gap Village! If you travel by public transport it is a short walk through a park to the 385, 380 and 381 with a long drive-way and on street parking as well. The room is great because it is nice and cosy with a heap of storage to fit everything you need, a ceiling fan and enough room to fit a Queen sized bed. Additional storage can be found underneath the house. We are about to sign a new 6 month lease, so you must be able to commit to staying for at least 6 months and are also looking to fill the room ASAP. The room is $150 for a singles and $75 each person for couples. Small caged pets will be considered.

I've lived in about 6-7 houses in under 5 years in Brisbane and this one is by far the most beautiful. A large 3 story Queenslander on a quite no through road. Even though its so cool and affordable, it's still 25 min from the Brisbane CBD. It would take a bit longer on a bicycle (35-40min) and maybe the same by bus (385 bus is only 100m down the street). We live close to grocery shops, gyms, and a few nice places to eat. Pretty much everything is above satisfactory living here. However... the BEST part about living here is the NATURE! We live in a forest, with the 3rd floor of our house in the canopy of the gum trees that surround us. Every day we have king parrots, yellow crested cockatoos, rainbow lorrikeets, etc. visiting us. Not to leave out the bush turkeys that sit down below. We're close to all the bush walks at Mt Coot-Tha with some of the tracks starting from one street away from us. We're even close (10min drive) from Enoggra Reservoir where we occasionally go in the summer to cool off.

This is a really nice townhouse in a very quiet, peaceful area. It has nice carpets, lots of cupboard space, including big built-in robes in all bedrooms, and a good-sized courtyard out the back, with access to some common space behind that. The smaller rooms are kind of regular small-and-square, with really big wardrobes. The larger one has air-conditioning as well and a larger window. There's public transport nearby, good access to major routes, and just a nice feel about the place. The rent is approximate - we haven't fully figured out the divisions yet, but it'll be around that amount. The whole place is only $360. We'll also be renting a fridge and washing machine, which will add another $10 or so each. And of course, there are utilities - we'd pay those as they come, dividing them equally. Unfortunately, I don't have photos of the bedroom (these are from the listing), but it has the b-i-r mentioned, nice carpet, pull-down blind on the window, and a fan. As this place is listed to be available now, and the owners have said they'd like it filled by 11th August, it might not still be available after this date. Due to the size of the place it's common that you'll only bump into the other roomies whenever we cross in the kitchen, so if you're concerned about privacy being crowded - don't be! Very safe and quiet neighbourhood within a short walking distance to city buses, and a medium walking distance to the trainline and some local shops. It's a very short drive to larger shopping centres, with Coles, Woolworths, and an Aldi only a few moments away. For students without vehicles, getting to UQ or QUT is not too much of a hassle, and it only takes me about 40 minutes to get to UQ (Google Maps says it would take only 30mins to get to QUT Kelvin Grove). Typically only takes about 10-15 minutes by personal transport to get to the city. We have a sizeable yard, pretty large kitchen with a gas stovetop, gas hot water, three large bedrooms upstairs and one large one downstairs. Two of the three upstairs rooms have their own airconditioning and the other has an ensuite. None of the rooms share walls, so privacy is abundant.
