The house: We have an amazing location just 5ish mins walk to windsor railway station, tram stops on queens way, chapel street and high street. There is on-street parking available upon application for a permit ($$ involved). The room itself is spacious and can fit a queen bed, dresser, clothes rack etc. Lots of natural light. The room is unfurnished, but the house is (mainly). We will be looking at replacing the dining chairs, outdoor table, TV and rug that our housemate who is leaving us is taking with him. You: We are looking for someone who is a similar age (somewhere between 19 and 27), house-trained (please don't message if you haven't lived in a share house before), student with job/full time worker/can support themselves, respectful, and is willing to get involved with the house. We want to be able to have a chat with you and have the occasional dinner/beverage together. We don't have a preference on gender and LGBT friendly. We have a fairly relaxed rotating cleaning arrangement, so you would need to be willing to stick to that as well. Right off Greville, steps from College Lawn Hotel (enough steps to not hear the place), and moments from Chapel Street. This apartment block has a massive garden surrounding the pool, respectful neighbours, and it's quiet. There are a lot of young people and families here so it's great all around. The room itself has plenty of space and a large built-in-robe. You'll be sharing a bathroom with one other girl, Amber, (the master bedroom , occupied by Val and Sammie, is on the top level and has an ensuite) but you'll have your own sink, which is really the most convenient part. There is a toilet on the ground level as well which means you're not stuck having the bathroom that all the guests use. The room looks out over the front yard, where you may catch glimpses of Rhino and Ollie (the dogs), or the odd pigeon bobbing around. There is plenty of greenery to see. The room gets plenty of light and the fully mirrored robes make it feel even larger than it already is. The common areas in the house are big and the kitchen/lounge room are very comfortable and bright. It's a social house and apartment block (don't worry, it's not Revolver), so a person who likes to chat and enjoy time with others would be best suited, especially during summer! You can get a parking permit for the area or use our variable permit, and there is always parking available. If you have a motorbike, you can share the space we have with Val who rides and parks under cover. Bills are split evenly, coming every 2-3 months.
My place is close to St Kilda beach, Australian Grand Prix circuit (walking distance), Acland Street, Chapel Street, Fitzroy Street, West Beach Bathers Pavilion, great restaurants - all waking distance . You’ll love my place because of the location, the proximity to everything including the city, public transport - approx 100 meters away.
I am looking for one person to move into the spare room of my gorgeous Art Deco apartment in St Kilda. Because of the layout this apartment feels like a little house with a big cozy lounge seperate dining area and bifold doors open to a sunny courtyard. The room is a double size and equipped with a wardrobe and queen bed. You really won’t need to bring naything as the kitchen is fully equppied and the bathroom also accomodates a washing machine. I have unlimited wi fi heating and cooling etc. parking permit available to park on the street or if you want you can rent the secure car space out back. Charnwood Grove is a quiet street but so close to train stations, trams, beach, super markets etc. 2 minutes walk to St Kilda road tram direct to the city. About me I am 33 and work full time including saturdays. I like to relax in the evening and will often go for a run or come home with wine which I’m always happy to share.
