Two rooms in my share house will become available over the coming months as my housemates are all departing for adventures interstate and overseas.
I’m looking for some wonderfully chill, social and creatively inclined people who are looking for a place that feels more like a home – rather than just a share house.
We’ve always had four people living here at a time (two singles and a couple) and it’s been a good combo. The house is spacious with plenty of storage for 4 adults.
Downstairs has a huge entrance/lounge with separate dining area. Spare room/study downstairs (not quite large enough to be a bedroom of its own) and kitchen/laundry and a separate toilet.
Garden is small but wraps the property – there is a vine-encased courtyard that leads to garage (currently used for storage, spare fridge and bikes)
There is also a small garden and veggie patch next to the dining area that gets the evening light as well as a thatch fence enclosed grass patch next to the driveway (loungeroom has French doors that open to this space so perfect for gatherings)
Aircon & heating.
ROOM 2 (single or couple) Available from around April 12th/start of new lease.
More details and photos to come. Large room & 1 small retreat area + ensuite.
*I’m flagging this room now but won’t be interviewing/have showings of the space until Feb at the earliest*
Within walking distance of -

About me:
Ahoy! I'm Steph, 34 y/o creative who works freelance across film/tv. I've lived in our Darebin house for five years and have been very lucky to call this place home and want it to feel like a home for others.
I’m very social, super laidback with a kind (albeit, big) personality.
My work schedule changes a lot. When I'm not on-set, I'm usually at home/at a cafe writing and working on my various passion projects, or at the gym/bouldering.
I’m clean and tidy but not to an extreme/OCD level.
Non-smoker.
About you:
You’re ideally social, laid-back and respectful of others. Someone who is looking for a community vibe; occasional hangs ie; housemate brunch, movie night, hikes etc.
You’re happy to pitch in with cleaning and gardening - but a bit of clutter doesn’t freak you out either.
If you're someone who is looking for a house with no socialising or who needs a constantly clean/quiet space – this may not be best fit.
Prefer non-smokers open to other recreational activities.
Ideally in the range of late 20s to late 30s.
Students, freelancers, part-time or full-time workers considered - but all applicants will need to be approved by the rental agent.
If this sounds like the type of share house you’re looking for – get in touch and tell me a bit about yourself!
