I'm looking for a housemate (one person only) for a room available as of early next week (or possibly this weekend). Ideally suited to a working professional or student, aged approximately 25-40 years, but individuals not fitting this may still be considered.
Large room (approx 4x4m) with high ceilings, queen bed w all linen, bedside table w lamp, desk, chair, built in robe, pedestal fan & column heater. There is room to add more furniture like a coat rack or small bookcase/cupboard/tallboy, TV & TV stand, etc should you wish.
Ideally looking for someone staying 6months or more, but may consider shorter on a case by case basis.
If you do not have an active profile or only have limited information on your profile, please let me know information about yourself such as whether you are working/studying and what field you are in, your age, roughly when you are looking to move in and how long you'd want to stay, and anything else you consider relevant (for example, why you are looking to move, if you have rented a room previously, if you are new to Adelaide/SA/the country), so that I have some idea of who you are beyond a face/profile online.
The home is a circa 1920s sandstone fronted villa with newer extension comprising kitchen (with dishwasher, electric oven and gas cooktop, fully equipped so you don't need to bring any plates/cutlery/appliances save for your own frypan) and breakfast bar area, main bathroom and small laundry. There is also a modern second smaller bathroom (so you will only share with one other person). There is ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling throughout.
There's a large backyard with alfresco area and lawned area, a veggie patch, and a number of fruit trees. There is plenty of on street parking space.
The house is located approx 5 minutes walk from 2 major bus stops and is then a short direct ride into the city or North Adelaide, 5-10 mins walk from the train stop and is very near all the essentials including supermarkets, chemists, lively Prospect Road including the cinema and restaurants/cafes and Kilburn shops which includes Aldi and Costco, gyms. There is also a direct bus route to Mawson Lakes.
Board includes gas, electricity and water up to a capped amount per quarter.

Hello,
My name is Nina and I'm in my late 30s. I work full-time in a professional role Monday to Friday and also attend various out of hours commitments.
Good communication & a relaxed home atmosphere are really important to me, so while I don't have to be best friends with my housemates, its important that we get along. Bonus points if you r up for sharing a meal/bottle of wine, movie or going on a hike/to the beach from time to time (although this is not mandatory).
Please note that this is not a party house & we all try to our bit to be environmentally conscious (recycle where possible, compost our food scraps, etc) and all contribute to keeping the property clean & tidy.
I also have an older, very friendly dog, who spends a lot of his time sleeping but loves being near people, pats & short walks around the neighbourhood. Ideal housemate will be a dog lover.
