About the property
Our house is a beautiful space, we’re situated in the green suburb of Enoggera. We have access to both busses (351, 352, 359 or 345) and trains (Alderley and Enoggera stations). The area is amazing for the local shops, cafes and restaurants (there’s an awesome new matcha place that’s opened in Alderley which has been great!)
The complex we’re in has a pool and a very small gym (but it’s there if you need it). The pool is right next to a BBQ area you can book that out too.
About the house specifically, it’s fully furnished with air conditioning throughout. The house is south-facing though so generally always on the cooler-side, which is great in summer. We have a projector TV that’s great for movie nights and PowerPoint parties - I have Disney and Netflix already logged in on the projector too.
For your bedroom in particular, it’s the purple shaded room in the floor plan/last photo. I’m happy to keep it furnished as in the photos (bed with the two pictures and lamps on either side) or remove the furniture if you have your own. Tia lives at the property full-time/permanently, whereas I keep a room for all my stuff but I live mainly at my partners and we kind of use that as the spare room now. The difficulty with us is that there’s not a lot of space for any additional furniture and not a lot of available/free storage so would be good to consider that. Although I’m the person putting up the listing, it’s really just one other person that you’ll be living with as I’m rarely there. Internet, water, gas and electricity are all covered in the rent.

Hi there! My name is Yu and I’m a scientist working in the pharmaceutical industry. I own the 3 bedroom townhouse listed here. I love my home and spent lots of time and energy curating this space - I love collecting antiques and artwork. I’m looking for someone who’d be interesting in renting a room in this house as I’ve been living more and more with my partner and it’s a shame for the 2 bedrooms to just be sitting empty.
You’ll be living with my beautiful housemate Kahtia, a cardiology nurse and her excitable red-heeler named Percy. Percy is super friendly and gets along with other doggos (unfortunately he’s not likely to get along with cats sorry). We have a yard at the back that’s a decent size for Percy to play in. Tia has the ensuite whereas you’ll have a bedroom and the main bathroom. The additional bedroom (which is my bedroom) is just used for guests and storage at the moment.
Our house is chill and independent as Tia and I are both young professionals. We spend time both together and separately and are respectful of each others space. We’re clean and understand shared boundaries. We sometimes do dinner or breakfast as catch ups (Nodo is our favourite breakie catch up!). Tia loves to go running and camping each week. I still come over sometimes to clean but to be honest, I’m rarely home which is why I created this listing in the first place. 99% of the time, I’m at my partners in Wynnum. But I’m always available if something needs to be fixed or you need an extra set of hands for anything. I love to bake and when I come around, I can bring an extra loaf of sourdough or cake (I love love love Alison Roman (generally) but her dessert book, is my absolute favourite).
I’m really privileged to own this space and aim to be transparent and respectful when renting my home. I’m looking for someone who will also be open and respectful in our shared exchange and hope my home brings joy to those sharing it, the same way it brought joy to me when I first started furnishing it.
