About the property

PRIVATE BEDROOM & BATHROOM | FULLY FURNISHED TOWNHOUSE | OWNER-OCCUPIED | GREENSLOPES (APPROX 4 KM TO CBD) | REGULAR PUBLIC TRANSPORT AT THE DOORSTEP | $350 PER WEEK

Flexible move in date between January - February 2026

This is a fully furnished, owner-occupied two-storey townhouse in Greenslopes, set up to be practical, comfortable, and easy to live in. All common areas are furnished, and the kitchen, laundry, and household appliances are already in place, so you can move in without needing to bring anything beyond your bedroom items. No additional pets are permitted, as a small, well-trained cat and dog already live here.

The available room is private and well ventilated, with a built-in wardrobe, ceiling fan, and two windows that allow good airflow. The housemate has primary use of the main bathroom, while the owner uses a separate ensuite, which helps keep shared spaces straightforward.

The home also has a small gated courtyard with an outdoor table and chairs, useful for getting some fresh air or spending time outside without needing to leave the house.

Location is a key benefit. There is a bus stop right outside the front door with regular services inbound to the city and outbound to surrounding suburbs. A train station is close by, and everyday conveniences are within easy walking distance, including a 24-hour 7-Eleven, shops, and local services. Walking and cycling tracks are nearby, and there is street parking and guest parking available.

Overall, this is a well-located, low-key home that suits someone looking for a settled, quiet place to live, with good transport access and all the basics already taken care of.

About the flatmates

I’m a mature, responsible, neat and tidy professional in my 30s, an owner-occupier renting out my spare room with the intention of finding a genuinely compatible long-term housemate. Ideally I’m looking for someone who wants to stay 12 to 24 months or longer if it’s a good fit. An initial six-month lease with the option to extend is something I’d consider also.

I’d describe myself as an introverted extrovert. I’m friendly, respectful, and easy to get along with, but when I’m home I value a peaceful, quiet, and harmonious environment. Home is very much a place to rest, recharge, and unwind.

I live with my cat and small dog and spend most evenings relaxing at home with them. Their safety and wellbeing are a priority. I enjoy film, television, music, gardening, and low-key nights in. The occasional shared dinner or casual chat with a housemate would be nice, but there’s no expectation to socialise regularly.

This is not a party house. I’m a non-smoker, don’t use recreational drugs, and I’m not a big drinker. I’m looking for a calm household without lots of people coming and going, particularly late at night.

For compatibility, I’m specifically looking for a housemate who works full-time outside the home and is not studying or working from home during normal business hours. A regular, predictable routine suits this household best, and the home is not set up for working or studying from home during the day.

I take a considered approach to sharing my home because having a respectful, clean, and compatible living environment matters more to me than filling the room quickly. Clear communication, mutual consideration, and feeling comfortable in your own space are important to me, and I’m hoping to find a housemate whose existing lifestyle already aligns with this.
