About the property

The house is set on a huge grass block with some gum trees and a big shed. It has wooden floors in the lounge and tiles in the obvious places. It is only about 15 min from the Brisbane Airport and 10 min from the Brisbane Port and cruise ship terminal. 10 min from Wynnum/Manly waterfront. 20 min to Brisbane City.

The room is the master bedroom of the house and is reasonably large (4000x3600). It is carpeted and being a corner room, has two windows (to driveway and back porch). Unfortunately, it is BYO fan and/or A/C. I have brought my own portable A/C and fans for both the shared lounge room and my bedroom, which work well.

Rent includes:
- Master bedroom (Queen bed & bedside tables can be included)
- Shared bathroom
- Shared kitchen and BBQ with all utensils and cookware
- Shared lounge room with TV (with some streaming services)
- Off-street parking. Possibly undercover parking. LUG for motorcycles.
- Storage in the big ass shed out the back

About the flatmates

Hey, my name is Sam - I live with my two dogs and my cats.
I am 34 and an apprentice aircraft engineer working near the airport.

I love working on engines, spending time outdoors, wildlife, learning, building, sports, and hanging out with my dogs.

I start work early 5-6 days a week and will be awake and about the house anywhere from 430am, so early risers preferred, but I also enjoy being up late some nights. If you're a night owl yourself, a normal and respectful level of noise won't bother me if I'm sleeping.

I'm pretty laid back, but I'm in a slower, more focused period of my life, so I'd like to keep the shenanigans out of the house. I like to keep the house quite clean and generally pick up after myself as I go.

It's a Deaf-friendly house - I can sign reasonably fluently. My Spanish is very rusty, but it's in there somewhere.

I have a 3yo German Shepherd and a 3yo Border Collie, who are both very friendly, energetic, loving dogs and the centre of a lot of my free time. We share the space with a couple of lovely and affectionate cats as well.

I'm looking for a housemate, with a couple of desirable traits in mind, and also some non-negotiables. Of course, I will follow the same non-negotiables.
