About the property
Are you a responsible, independent person looking for a peaceful, stable home in Canberra’s Inner North? With ample parking and storage space, and only a short walk from buses and light rail stops, our friendly home in a quiet, leafy street may be just the ticket!
The available room includes a BIR, but is otherwise unfurnished. It's large enough for a queen size bed, side tables, desk and other furniture. The rest of the house is furnished, but there would still be some room for other furniture you may have. We also have some garage storage space, and a small garden shed. And if you're into gardening, we have a veggie patch that you can get stuck into!
You'll be sharing a bathroom and separate toilet with one other tenant (Zoe), and all electricity, gas, water and internet bills are split evenly between the three of us. On average, the bills are around $80 per month each.
We're only a few minutes walk from Dickson, Downer and Watson shops, and not too far from the Epic Markets.
You'll need to sign on for a 12-month lease (until early Jan 2027), so please don't message me if you're looking for a shorter stay.

About the flatmates
Broderick and Zoe have been living in this house for many years. We are both quiet, friendly non-smokers, and are looking for the same qualities in another person to fill our now available third room.
Broderick works full-time as a librarian, and loves cooking, gardening, reading, movies, and getting out of Canberra on weekends.
Zoe works part-time, while studying Japanese and also volunteering as a museum guide.
We both have fairly busy lives, and don't cross paths often, but if your schedule matches either of ours, we're certainly up for a chat, a drink or a meal together.
Our ideal housemate is someone who has things going on in their life too, and doesn't sit around the house playing computer games all day. You'd also be expected to pitch in with the cleaning and other household tasks.
Unfortunately we aren't able to take in any pets.
