I'm looking for someone to take my room in Hackett by Friday, November 9. It's an awesome home just near the intersection of Majura and Phillip Avenues. You'd be sharing with two other amazing housemates, Callum and Erin, who work in hospo and a cat - Winston - who does not work. It's a short ride to Braddon / Civic and right near the 2 / 937 bus stop. Rent is $340 a fortnight, paid every second Friday with a bond of $680 to be paid before moving in. This would also mean taking my place on the lease, which expires March 9 but the real estate agent said she doesn't see any problems with the lease continuing from them. (Our real estate agents are great.) Utilities are paid every quarter and internet is $20 per month to be paid before the 14th. The house has one bathroom, big kitchen with electric oven, washing machine and a huge backyard. I'm not 100% on whether we can have additional pets but that's a conversation you can have with the agent. About the area: Mount Ainslie is behind our house and you can walk up it via a ridge that also runs along in front of the house, with lots of pretty birds and kangaroos. We are in between Dickson and Ainslie shops (a 5 min ride either direction, or you can take the bus), and there’s a bus that goes to the city/ANU directly opposite our house. Otherwise, the bike path is just a few metres from our house, is a pretty ride through the wetlands and takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Civic. The suburb has nice wide streets and is a relaxing haven from the city, while also feeling very close to everything.

This is a handy place, it is easy to get anywhere in town from here. There are a few shopping areas in walking distance to pick from. Buses stop a few houses away if you need that. It has evidently been well looked after over the years. There is new carpet, a gas stove, plenty of hot water and it stays cool inside on hot days. The kitchen is well equipped but there is still space for more stuff if you have any. Which room you'd have is up for negotiating and it would be based on need as they are different sizes with different amounts of storage. I like animals but we cannot have pets here.

It is an amazing location, 15min from Civic and Gungahlin and 20min from Belconnen. With the Hackett shop just across the road and the Dickson shop is just bit further, it's extremely convenient. Even better the bus stops are just outside the door. The duplex does allow pets but due to bad fences dogs are not welcome. I'm happy for you to smoke, you just wouldn't be able to do so inside.
We like to think our place is pretty special. It has a number of dulce perks. - We have a lovely courtyard, where we are trying to grow our plant collection (any new additions are most welcome). We also have grand plans to furnish the courtyard to make it the choicest place to be in summer - The place is fully furnished, but we are flexible if you have anything you need to bring.
