About the flatmates
I'm a retired professional engineer and today am a part-time indie filmmaker (writer/director/producer). I live in the main house with 2 grownup grandchildren ( female aged 23 and male aged 20) and a family friend, a female (27). We are all easy going and friendly.
It's a weatherboard, single story home. The studio for rent is entirely separate (at the end of a single driveway that runs beside the house), comprising a wooden-framed weatherboard dwelling with a concrete base. It has been refurbished, is carpeted and has an insulated roof and has double sliding doors to a back garden.
The dwelling comprises a large bedroom /living room area with single bed, a desk, chairs, a small eating table, plus an adjoining kitchen area with electrical appliances, running cold water (to a sink) and a fridge. Broadband internet is included.
The bathroom facilities (shower/toilet/washbasin/washing machine) are in the main house, about a 8m walk from the studio. For that reason, it's most suitable for a working male or full time male student. Occasional use of the main house kitchen is ok too.
We are located near the intersection of Canterbury rd and Blackburn rd with easy access to bus and rail transport (Blackburn station)
Unrestricted street parking is available at front of house.
