Preferred applicants:
Suitable for University Students from Melbourne and Monash Parkville Campuses, RMIT City and Brunswick Campuses and any tertiary institutions located in the city of Melbourne. Looking for serious and courteous students, this is a great home and not a party house. House rules apply to ensure privacy, security and safety.
Tenancy and condition:
Minimum 6 months rental or 1 university semester, whichever is the lesser. Ready for immediate occupancy. Rooms, mattresses and carpets have been professionally spotlessly cleaned. receipts are available for your inspection.
Facilities:
In addition to the furniture, all rooms have an LED TV, smoke alarm and Super-fast (and unlimited) NBN internet.
Fully equipped kitchen and laundry, with clothes dryer, ironing board; steam iron, and vacuum cleaner. Central heating keeps the house toasty warm all winter, all rooms are fully airconditioned for cooling and heating. The house has one bathroom and two toilets so there are no queues at critical moments.
Benefits:
Rent is inclusive (no more to pay) of all utilities and consumables such as: dishwashing liquid, paper towel, sponges, napkins, toilet paper etc, you only need to provide your own toiletries and laundry detergent needs.
Financials:
Rent $280 per week, payable 2 weeks in advance. Rent is inclusive of all utilities and most consumables that are detailed above.
Bond $500 (Returnable at the end of tenancy).
Additionally, $150 (non-refundable) cleaning contribution payable upon occupying room. The advance payment is for room, bed and carpet cleaning when you move out. Therefore, when you leave you remove your possessions and go. The exit cleaning will be taken care of after you have gone.
Current housemates:
The landlord, a retired English teacher resides at the house and cleans common areas weekly when he is available. Minor repairs and maintenance are normally addressed on the day of occurrence.
Other housemates are a 26 year old Italian female who will commence an Early Childhood Teaching Diploma course in April, and a 36 year old female Nutritionist from Botswana who is Melbourne university masters graduate. All occupants are supportive, respectful, friendly and easy going.
